SYNOPSIS

INTRODUCTION

This Project Study Focuses on the employee job satisfaction at Minda Group,Delhi, .

Job evaluations form an integral part of any organization. Properly developed and
implemented, job satisfaction process can help an organization achieve its goals by developing
productive employees, although there are many types of JOB SATISFACTION systems, each
with its own advantages and disadvantages. We must be aware of a suitable system in
accomplishing the organization strategic goals.

In this context, many operational level employees were consulted through system. It was
found that the system is more useful in identifying the task and accomplishment of the
employees as well as the areas were they are to be given more potential for achieving
effectiveness. It was also helpful to give a short focus on specific development targets for
subordinates. The system is more helpful to implement some action plans timely with proper
schedules. The respondents to make the system effective also suggested some revisions.
COMPANY PROFILE

MINDA GROUP : A PROFILE


Minda Group is India’s foremost manufacturer of a range of automotive components. The Minda
Group was established long before in the year 1958.The Managing Director of this Group is
Mr.NK.Minda.The organization has employed over more than 2500 employees.The company is a
leading equipment manufacturers with an annual turnover of US $ 121 million (approx. Rs. 545
Crore ).
The product profile of Minda Group comprises of:
 Switches for 2/3 wheelers
 Switches for 4 wheelers
 Lights ,horns & alternate fuel kits(LPG/CNG).

1958 Started with “Ammeter” production at Delhi with 5 employees

1980 Started the Lighting Division at Delhi

Finalised 1st T.A.A.(Technical Assistance Agreement) with Tokai Rika, Japan for

1997 Received Maruti’s Best Performance Vendor Award in Minda Rika

Established technical collaboration with Faimm, Italy for Horns

Started Minda Rika new plant at Manesar, Gurgaon

Received IS 9001 certification for Switch Division

1998 Received Maruti’s Best Performance Award 2nd time in Minda Rika
Established technical collaboration with SIEMA, Italy for Lighting

Established technical collaboration with AXO Scientex, France for Lighting

Received QS 9000 certification for Minda Rika

Started BEST (Business Excellence through Simple Techniques) journey in

Statement about the problem:


 The Study is to analyze and ascertain the employees attitude towards their job and
their organization
 The study also emphases the need for the company to know about their employees
perception regarding various aspects of their employment
 The Study is being made to understand and analyze the factors that will influence
the levels of job satisfaction among the employees.
 The degree of employees job satisfaction towards the organization.
By projecting the employees dissatisfaction ,we will come to know that
where the company is devoid of providing contentment to it employees & the
improvements required areas. By implementing the suggestions we will be able to
bridge the gap between the employees & the organization.

OBJECTIVES

Primary objectives
 To determine the general level of job satisfaction of the employees .
 To identify the key factors that influence employees job satisfaction.
 Study the climate within the organization taking into consideration
the various changes that have taken place over the past few months.

Secondary objectives
 To understand and establish relationship between the key variables
that effect employees job satisfaction .
 To suggest measures to improve employees job satisfaction.

Methodology Adopted
Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem .Here we study
the various steps generally adopted by the researcher in studying the research methods to
continue a part of research methodology.

Sources of data
Data refer to information or facts, often, researchers understand by data only numerical figure. It
also includes descriptive facts, non-numerical information. Data could be broadly classified as:
 Primary data
 Secondary data

Primary data is known as the colleted for the first time through the field survey. Such data are collected
with the specific objectives to access the current status of any variable studied. in this primary data
collected through structured questionnaire.

Secondary data refers to the informations or facts already collected. Such data are collected with the
objectives of the past status of any variable. Secondary data required for conducting this research study has
been collected from visions, marketing books, company broachers, statistical tools, journals published by
the company and through the literature review was conducted for the same.

Research instrument
Research instrument used to collect the primary data was the structured questionnaire where the responders
were asked to fill in 26 questions which comprises of multiple-choice (Likert scale) and personal
information.

Nature of Study:

The nature of the study was descriptive. The sampling technique which has been used in
this project is convenience sampling..

Data collection:
The relevant information and data has been collected from secondary sources of
information like:
 Journals & Books in IMT library
 Articles from Internet
 Bank Mannuals.
