Purpose: This procedure applies to accident monitoring & control

Responsibility: HR

Scope

Definition :

Near miss accident: Accident may happen but avoided with proactive approach.
Minor accident: which can be treated in-house & no hospitalization required.
Major accident: Which can not be treated in-house & hospitalization required

Handling of Major accident:

Give first aid treatment to the person injured—Shop floor incharge / HR


Inform the plant head / MD-- Shop floor incharge / HR
Take action for further treatment of the injured person.--Shop floor incharge / HR
Analyse the root cause behind the accident.- Shop floor incharge / HR
Prepare corrective & preventive action report -Shop floor incharge / HR
Maintained the records.- Shop floor incharge / HR

Handling of Minor accident:

Give first aid treatment to the person injured—Shop floor incharge / HR


Inform the department head-- Shop floor incharge / HR
Take action for further treatment of the injured person.--Shop floor incharge / HR
Analyse the root cause behind the accident.- Shop floor incharge / HR

Handling of Near miss accident:

Identify the possibilities of Near miss accident on shop floor —Shop floor incharge /
HR
Record the incidents which may caused an accident.
