Dread Elves
Originally a Highborn colony, the elven Republic of Dathen was founded long ago after a bloody rebellion. Out of
this grim conflict was born the spirit of a people who restlessly seek superiority over all others, setting out to tame
the twin frontiers of their large Silexian continent and the world’s oceans. These Daeb continue to vie with the
Highborn for mastery of the waves. But for all the prosperity they’ve gained from Dathen’s natural riches – cultivated
by armies of slaves – and from plundering the peoples of every shore, the dread elves have never grown complacent
or content. The result is an elven war machine ready to challenge and subdue the entire world.
Daeb raiding ships are known to attack shores around the world in swift and terrifying raids.
The nation of the Dread Elves is the Republic of Dathen, settled in ancient times by pioneers and
refugees.

The queen of the elven pantheon, Moithir is worshipped in Her diverse aspects. While other elves believe she
brings protection, among the Daeb she is sought primarily for the gift of vengeance. To harm the greatest of the
elven peoples is to meet swift and pitiless retribution, and the sacred mysteries of the Phantom Queen are its
surest conduit.
