ABSTRACT:
Mucormycosis is an infection caused by a group of filamentous molds within the order Mucorales.
Infections may result from ingestion of contaminated food, inhalation of spores into the nares or
lungs, or inoculation into disrupted skin or wounds. Recent therapeutic advances have the potential
to improve outcomes ofmucormycosis. Lipid formulations of amphotericin B (LFAB) have evolved
as the cornerstone of primary therapy for mucormycosis. A case of a 30-year-old man presenting
with right sided swelling and decreased vision on the right eye for 20 days. Patient was diagnosed
with Rhino-orbital mucormycosis . The procedure emergency endoscopic endonasal detriment of
nose and paranasal sinuses with bilateral orbital decompression under general anaesthesia.
