 Self confidence is a one of psychological problem that regularly
affects students at all educational levels. Several studies and surveys
have been conducted to find out how common this problem is among
students, particularly at UINSI Samarinda.

Based on the result of a survey in the form of a questionnaire among

Tahfidz student at Uinsi Samarinda Dormitory. Of ten respondents
calculated in percentage form.

The form of descriptive question is to assess student level of self –

confidence using the questionnaire.

Judging from the survey result, the environment has quite an impact
on student self-confidence, coupled with a lackof enthusiasm to start
practicing. On overage , respondents answered that they had a sense
of self-confident outside the context of speaking English. Their level
of self-confidence was indeed low, and with the discussion of English,
an average of 85% of student answered that they did not Agree that
their English skills were good enough.
