explain the roll forming:-Stove pipes, cans etc are

formed out of flat sheet metal on a roll forming

machine. It has 3 rolls which can be set at different
distances a part and between which the covers are
made. This is indispensable for making pipes.

Explain the function of groovier and rivet set:-

Groove:-this is used to groove and flatten a seam
as shown in .this is available in many shapes .Rivet
set:-this is a hard steel tool with a hollow in ane
end as shown in fig 17.5. It is used
to shape the end of a rivet into a round smooth
head.
