Section 1: Review (Approx 100 words)
Going into this course I had little in terms of field experience in this subject,
however I had made pieces of media in the past, such as the multitude of
TikTok videos i have made and the YouTube videos I have made. However,
during this course I have gained invaluable experience in the field, especially
in the areas of camera work and sound recording, using equipment such as
the Sony x70 camera, Zoom H4 recorder, boom pole and gun mic. I feel this
has enhanced my ability inside and outside of the course. Both my
documentary and music video. I feel the videos we made were of a
professional standard. I feel that my FMP will come out to be my best project
yet
Section 2: Project Concept (approx 200 words)
Our concept is a psychological horror short film that utilizes historic World
War 2 landmarks around Weston and Brean. The film has 2 main acts, one in
Brean Down Fort and one in a bunker near Pawlett. The film involves the main
character who is very fond of historic places, especially those involving war.
He first visits our interpretation of Brean down fort and has vivid sightings of
a figure in World War 2 uniform. During this scene he trips and finds some
documents, he then reads these documents which lead him to an abandoned
bunker where he finds a video tape of another person exploring the bunker,
this tape shows him getting attacked by the ghostly world war 2 soldier and
with screams in the background played through the recorder. The open space
of these locations provides a variety of possible camera angles to be
explored using the Sony X70, this will intern provide more variety to the
production. We intend to go to brean down fort in the early morning to create
suspense due to possible factors such as fog. We also plan on implementing
different production techniques to create suspense. such as using camera
angles to add an eerie affect or manipulating the sound and music to create
suspense. I have started research into this area which i have referenced
below, researching non-diegetic and diegetic sound and the art of sound in
film making. The bunker is dark so this will play into our hands for extra
suspense which is what we want for the phycological aspect of this short
horror film.

Section 3: Evaluation (approx 50 words)

I intend to use the website made by Weebly as that is the program I have used for
the other two projects, this allows me to document research progress , learning of
practical skills, ETC. I can document this in many ways, through videos, voice
recordings, images, documents and writing descriptions of important developments.
