EXPERIMENT NO. 7
AIM: To design and implement clipper circuits and draw it output voltage wave
form.

Objective
1. To simulate various types of clipper
2. To analyze waveform of respective waveform and compare with theoretical waveform

Theory:

Clipper circuits have the ability to “clip” off a portion of the input signal without
distorting the remaining part of the alternating waveform. The half wave rectifier of
the previous experiment is an example of the simplest form of diode clipper.
Depending on the orientation of thy diode, the positive or negative region of the input
signal is “clipped” off. There are two general categories of clippers: series and
parallel.

The series configuration is defined as one where the diode is in series with the load,
while the parallel variety has the diode in branch parallel to the load.

Clippers are useful for protecting circuits from exceeding various voltages (either
positive or negative).

CONCLUSION: The conclusion of designing and implementing clipper circuits

would typically summarize the findings and outcomes of the experiment or
project. It might include insights into the behavior of the circuit under different
conditions, any challenges encountered during the design or implementation
process, and recommendations for future improvements or experiments. As for
drawing the output voltage waveform, it would depend on the specific circuit
design and parameters used in the experiment. Typically, you’d use simulation
software or oscilloscope measurements to generate and visualize the waveform.
