MISCARRIAGE
OF JUSTICE?
In our opinion, this failure of
justice makes many people feel
like they are suffering and being
treated unfairly. This will have a
big impact on the lives of victims
of miscarriages of justice,
potentially creating crimes or
crime as a result of injustice.

CASE 1
The case of the 1986 kidnapping, rape and murder of Lori Roscetti, a
23-year-old medical student, was closed nearly two years later when
the last of four teenagers was sentenced to spend the rest of his life
in prison with no chance of parole.
 Character: Jimmy Ray Bromgard
On October 1, 2002, Jimmy Ray Bromgard became the 111th person in

CASE 2 the United States to be exonerated by post-conviction DNA testing.

Bromgard spent fourteen and a half years in a Montana prison for a
crime he did not commit - the rape of an eight-year-old girl.

CASE 3
At that time George was buying cigarettes, it is suspected that he used fake money to pay for
the cigarettes. then he was reported to the police, when the police arrived, his hands were
immediately handcuffed and he lay down on the road. However, an unexpected incident
occurred, a police officer named Derek Chauvin put his knee on George's neck. At that time
George had said that he was short of breath, but the police ignored him. As a result of the
police's actions, George died of suffocation. For this incident, Derek was sentenced to prison
for approximately 20 years.
