DEAR Hiring Manager

In one to three sentences, explain why you are writing and mention the specific position you are applying for.
Briefly share your creative background and experience. Say something relevant and specific to the company.
Explain things you may not be able to in the resume, for example to explain a gap in work history, or your
reason for a sudden career change, or if you have any connections to the company and need to name drop. Here
are few ways to make your cover letter shine

Keep it short and sweet. Show the hiring manager that you did your research and have been following the
company; compliment them on a recent accomplishment. Highlight your relevant accomplishments in your
cover letter, showcase your transferable skills, and explain how you can help the company address its
challenges and succeed and you truly would be an asset to the company. Provide more detail about at least one
project or achievement that you have outlined on your resume

Use the closing of your cover letter to: Thank the reader for their time and attention. Reiterate your interest and
enthusiasm about the new position. Add a link to your digital portfolio or website, even if you already have it in
the header of the cover letter. Mention that you look forward to hearing from them shortly. Keep the closing
professional and try not to sound too eager since that can come off as desperate. You must also keep in mind the
tone and personality of the company you’re communicating with.

Sincerely,
