Station of the Cross

The Station of the Cross portrays the life and suffering of Jesus Christ for the salvation of
humankind besides it is the will of the God the Father to repay our sins.
The commemoration is done every holy week which is practiced by both Catholics and
non-Catholics. People abstain from the usual daily habits like work, eating out, drinking to
devote their time with the Lord through prayers and fasting.
My thoughts about the fourteen stations of the cross is that I regretfully realized how
sinful I am that Jesus has to suffer and die.

1. Pilate condemned Jesus to death.

2. Jesus accepts the cross.
3. Jesus falls for the first time.
4. Jesus meets the affected mother.
5. My Catholic life.
6. Veronica offers her veil to Jesus.
7. Jesus falls the second time.
8. Jesus speaks to the women.
9. Jesus falls the third time.
10. Jesus stripped by his garment.
11. Jesus was nailed on the cross.
12. Jesus died on the cross.
13. Jesus is taken down from the cross
14. Jesus is placed in the sepulcher.
So far there are steps on how to pray the stations of the cross.
Step I - (Genuflect) saying
“We adore you O Christ and we praise you because of your finished work on the cross.
Step II - State the first cross in every station.
Step III - Prayer and love offering to Jesus
Step IV - Pray one “Our Father” , one “Hail Mary” and one “Glory be”.
To the station of the cross my righteousness to the Lord grows deeper and deeper my
faith to the Lord. I realize the Lord is my salvation, whom shall I fear. He is the strength of my
life, of whom shall I be afraid. In return, I’ll be born again to enter the Kingdom. Forgive me
Father for I have sinned. “I adore you, praise you”. Lastly, I will serve the Lord with gladness
and love before the presence of singing. Know the Lord that He is God. His mercy is everlasting
and his goodness endures in all generation.
