Teacher’s note:

Depending on the level and age of your students, you can talk more about the fact that some nouns can be countable or
uncountable depending on the context. For example, when we talk about the substance of pizza in general, we say ‘I love
pizza’. In this case pizza is being used as an uncountable noun. However, if we are talking about pizzas as units, we treat
it as a countable noun; for example, ‘How many pizzas should we order?’. ‘Time’ is another good one to cover with your
students, as ‘how much time’ refers to duration, while ‘how many times’ refers to quantity.

Some examples of nouns that can be countable or uncountable are included in this resource (e.g. chocolate, lemonade).
These are usually uncountable, but if you feel it would be confusing for your students, please remove them from the game.
