= (which is not defined)

g(f(g(x)) = g(f(sinx–1))
= g(f(0–)) = g(2–)
= 1 – cos0 = 0

2. (BCD)

h(x) = sin2x → differentiable

 twice differentiable
3. (AC)

since, f’(x) is an increasing function

Hence, f’(x) > f’(2a–x)
x > 2a – x
x>a
f(x) is in (a, 2a) and in (0, a)

4. I+J=

I–J= …….(1)

…….(2)

Adding equation (i) & (ii) ;

5. f(f(x) = 1 – x
Replace
f(f(f(x))+f(x) 1 f(1–x) + f(x) = 1 …(1)
Put x = 1/3, we get f(1/3) + f(2/3) = 1

I = 1/2
From equation (1)
f’(x) = f’(1–x)
for x (1/4, 3/4) ; f’(1/4) = f’ (3/4)
Hence, f” (x) = 0 has at least one root in x (1/4, 3/4)
Also, f”(x) = –f” (1–x)
at x = 1/2 ; f”(1/2) = – f”(1/2) ; f”(1/2) = 0
at x = 4/5 ; f”(4/5) =0 (given)

Hence, f”(x) = 0 has at least one root in x (1/2, 4/5)

6. ABD

Clearly, f(x) is discontinuous and bijective function

7. h’(x) = f(x) h”(x) = f’(x)

h(1) = 0, f(1) = f’(1) = h’(1) = h”(1) = g(1)
f(g(x)) = x
f’ (g(x)). g’(x) = 1
f’ (g(1)). g’(1) = 1 g’ (1) = 1
G(x) = x2.g(x) – x. h(g(x))
G’(x) = x2 g’(x) + 2x. g(x) – h(g(x)) – x. h’(g(x)). g’(x)
= 2x.g(x) – h(g(x))
G”(x) = 2.g(x) + x.g’(x)
G’(1) = 2g(1) – h (g(1)) = 2g(1) – h(1) = 2
G”(1) = 2.g(1) + g’(1) = 3

8. Graph of y = f(x) is as shown

9. (BCD)

10. (1) The period of is . So, is also periodic with period .

Also, .
Thus [ f(x)] = 1 is a many one and intro function.

Hence g(x) is continuous at x = 0 for all value of .

Thus N1 = 0
For derivability at x= 0 ;

Thus N1 + N2 = 2
5. (5) consider g(x) =

g’ (x) = for f(0, 20 )

thus, g(x) is an increasing function, also the range of

At all integral values, f(x) will not be derivable. Hence there are = 12 points, where f(x) is not
derivable.
Thus, these are 12 values of C1 for which g’(c) = has same values.
Thus, by Rolle’s theorem for g’(X), g”(X) will vanish
at (12 –1) = 11 points (minimum)
Hence n = 11
Thus

6. (3)

No. of maxima = 2
No. of minima = 3

No. of maxima = 2
No. of n = 3 is the least value of n
