Mima’s Flan

Moms flan

Ingredients
1 C sugar (1/2 for caramel 1/2 for flan)
5 large eggs
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
1 tbalespion vanilla extract

****Instapot 45 minutes on high. Release steam after another 10 minutes.

**** regular Pressure cooker high 15 min. Then release steam

****Conventional *****

1. Preheat oven to 350


2. Place sugar and water in pot over medium heat. Constantly stir until sugar is liquified and
golden in color. Set aside
3. Pour enough Caramel in baking pan to cover bottom. Set aside the remaining Carmel
4. In blender eggs, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Blend until smooth
5. Pour the mixture into the caramel-lined dish. Place the dish in a large baking pan. Pour hot
water into another baking pan around the dish about half way of dish

Bake for 45 minutes in the water bath. Run knife around sides and check in center if ready.

Remove out of the hot water. Let cool then place in the refrigerator for an hour or so.

Invert dish on a plate, allowing the flan to drop out and the caramel sauce to flow over
