Long live, Mom (Eulogy)

By Yhusabelle Angel Gono

I watched you go without goodbye,

Was in my dream I almost cried.

There this goes a sad melody of thought,

What would life be without your taught?

These days, I can't seem to think of anything else,

Just your name and counting the days.

I sometimes hear everywhere your voice,

A realization you will still be my first choice.

The memories we shared in those wild and crazy days,

I'm forever grateful for your presence in countless ways.

You're like a never-setting sunshine in my life,

Always bringing a smile, no regrets, no strife.

Cheers to you, I am your firstborn daughter,

I will never forget you even you’re farther.

Cling on you even on your last breath,

I'll feed you, even when you've lost so many teeth.

I won't bid goodbye, nor will I shed a tear,

For you live on in my memories, day by day, year after year.

You're the greatest human being, whether alive or passed,

Mom, you'll always be extraordinary, and your legacy will last.

So if you bid a farewell and say goodbye,

I'll cry out, "Long live, Mom! You'll forever in my heart.”
