like. This local study focuses on the car rental market in a specific area,
analyzing its growth, challenges, and customer preferences. In recent years,
the demand for car rentals in the local areas has experienced steady growth.
Factors such as increased tourism, business travel, and the rise of the sharing
economy have contributed to the popularity of car rental services. The local
market has witnessed the establishment of several car rental companies, both
global brands and local operators, providing a wide range of vehicle optons to
cater to diverse customer needs.
One of the significant challenges faced by the local car rental industry is the
competition from ride-hailing services. Companies like Uber and Lyft have
disrupted the traditional transportation sector, offering convenient and
affordable alternatives to renting a car. This has compelled car rental
companies to innovate and adapt their services to stay relevant in the market.
Many have introduced mobiles apps, streamlined booking processes, and
loyalty programs to enhance customer experience and maintain a competitive
edge. Customer preferences in the local car rental market have evolved with
changing trends. While affordability and vehicle availability remain key factors,
customers also prioritize convenience, quality of service, and flexibility. This
has led to the emergence of new service models such as hourly rentals, one-
way rentals, and long-term leasing options. Additionally, there has been a
growing demand for eco-friendly vehicles, prompting car rental companies to
include electric and hybrid cars in their fleets.
