UNIT 1 ENTREPRENEURSHIP

SBA GUIDELINES

The length of the report should not exceed 1,500 words, excluding bibliography, charts, graphs,
tables, pictures, references, and appendices. APA citations and referencing. Times new roman font
size 12 double spaced.
AREA SUGGESTIONS MARKS
Aim and Aim of the interview report clearly stated and relevant to the topic 2
objectives chosen. Examples of possible aims include:

To gain comprehensive insights into the entrepreneurial journey,


strategies, and innovative practices of a successful entrepreneur.

To explore the role of creativity and innovation in the inception,


development, and management of the entrepreneur's venture.

To analyze the present state of the venture, identify major


challenges faced by the entrepreneur, and discover emerging
opportunities for growth and harvesting.

Two objectives of the interview report clearly stated and relevant 4

To understand the characteristics that define the entrepreneur and

follow-up questions and seek clarifications in real-time.
This allows them to delve deeper into specific aspects of
the entrepreneur's journey, strategies, and practices,

This includes the historical events, challenges faced, and
unique circumstances that shaped the evolution of their
business.

 Interviews can be subjective, as they rely on the
perceptions and interpretations of both the interviewer
and interviewee. This can introduce potential biases that
may affect the accuracy and objectivity of the information
gathered.
 The accuracy of the information obtained in an interview
depends on the interviewee's memory, willingness to
share, and ability to articulate their experiences. There
may be instances of recall bias or the interviewee
providing socially desirable responses.
 Some entrepreneurs may feel uncomfortable discussing
certain aspects of their business or personal journey. This
can lead to them being less open or withholding
information, potentially limiting the depth of insights
gained.

Pre-Venture Background:

"Could you share some insights into your background and experiences before you started this
venture?"

"Are there any specific experiences or skills from your past that you believe were instrumental in
shaping your entrepreneurial journey?"

Success Factors and Innovation Aspects:

"What do you consider as the key factors that have led to the success of your venture?"

"Can you walk us through the processes and practices you employed for idea generation,
opportunity identification, and market assessment?"

Present State, Challenges, and Opportunities:

"Could you give us an assessment of the current strengths and weaknesses of your venture?"
