IPT SPECIALIZATION lato sensu

Why should you study at IPT?

Currently, wood-based construction is the most progressive form of On-line Course
technological development within the construction chain in the modern with practical classes
world. Wood is the only renewable material in this chain with the lowest (technical visits)
environmental impact and the most low-energy sustainable technology
with consumption and less waste generation. The intensive and noble use
of wood has revolutionized industrialized civil construction systems and 408 hours
formed an entire specialized industry around these technologies.

Brazil has the largest potential stock of raw materials that can be 24 months
exploited according to sustainable conditions on the planet, with one of
the worst rates of waste and unethical use among those countries
deemed as producers. In addition to this, there is a culture of full IPT
misinformation in all sectors of the chain.
At the moment, there is no specific higher education or even
specialization in this area in Brazilian schools that is capable enough of
providing expertise and training a generation of architects, designers and
teachers capable of guiding and producing their own and responsible
language.

A specialization course in the area is the most efficient manner to

introduce a first generation to new concepts and prepare them for future
investigative research processes either with academic or industrial,
nature that will guide educational policies within higher education
curricula, in addition to training professionals capable of progressive
introduction of the use of wood at all levels of the chain.

Who should take this course?

Architects graduated in Architecture and Urbanism (Bachelor's degree) and in
related areas such as Engineering and Product Design.

This course is considered as a lato sensu specialization course for those who
do not intend to undertake a stricto sensu postgraduate course, a master's
or doctorate, with the intent to continue their university education process or
to update their technical and of architectural language.

FAILURE ANALYSIS IN
POLYMERIC MATERIALS

Why should you study at IPT?

Failures are not rare in plastics or any other industry. Proper material
selection alone will not prevent a product from failing. With the exception of Modality
a few basic rules in the design of plastic parts, the criteria change from to be determined
material to material as well as from application to application.

Today, project-related failures are by far the most common type of failure. 20 hours
Even the most innovative design and very careful selection of materials
cannot compensate for inadequate processing practices. Stress
concentration, voids, weld lines and moisture in the material are some of the
IPT
most common causes of premature failure of polymeric products.

The latest advances in technology allow operators to control processes with

a high degree of reliability. Furthermore, the available data allows
identification and critical analysis of deviations if a product fails during use.

In addition to processing, there can be several causes of premature failures

in polymeric systems. Most notably, there is the use of products in
inadequate conditions of temperature range, ultraviolet radiation, ozone,
humidity and/or the presence of oils, chemicals and/or other contaminants.

In this context, the failure of a material may occur due to one or more
combined factors, so the failure analysis needs to be carried out globally,
with identification and evaluation in a laboratory environment of each
failure hypothesis initially raised.

resources in activities that in the future will bring socio-economic benefits
to society. IPT
In the private sector, on the other hand, it is related to the possible
financial return on investments made by the company or the development

in the medium term, such as, for example, the consolidation of the
company as an institution marked by cutting-edge technology. Another
important reason is to support the process of negotiating intellectual
property agreements: defining the amount to be paid for the commercial
exploitation of technologies derived from research, development and
innovation (R&D&I) projects.

The course will encompass topics relating to the evaluation and valuation
of technologies, such as: tools for evaluating technologies (AHP, TRL, Cost-
Benefit and other qualitative methods); market approaches (royalties
standards, multiple method), cost approaches (sunk cost, accounting
method and cost formation based on business parameters) and income
approaches (Discounted Cash Flow, Projected and with scenarios) for
valuation; determination of business parameters based on valuation
(royalties, success rate and hybrid models).

Initial concepts: valuation, evaluation, valorization;
Valuation approaches and methods based on cost, market or revenue;
Sunk cost, market multiple method, discounted cash flow, decision tree,

IPT INTERNATIONAL MBA

An International MBA or Master of International Business Administration, is a

postgraduate program designed to provide a comprehensive education in
business management with a global focus. This type of MBA is especially
aimed at professionals looking to develop managerial skills in an
international context and understand the complexities of the global
business environment.

The structure of the International MBA includes a variety of disciplines, such

as finance, marketing, strategic management, operations and leadership.
However, the difference can be found in the international approach to these
topics. Students can explore issues related to global markets, international
expansion strategies, multicultural management, and adapting to different
business environments.

MBA IN TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION MANAGEMENT

European Erasmus Program +
Erasmus + is the European program that supports education, training,
youth and sport. The purpose is the promotion of the sustainable
development of its partners in the field of higher education.

EULA-GTEC Project
In order to strengthen scientific cooperation and transfer between the
European Union and Latin America, the EULA-GTEC project will share
the experience of the two regions and the renewal of distance
learning (methodology and approaches) in the particular field of
technology and innovation management.

As a member associated to the EULA-GTEC Project, in partnership with

the University of São Paulo, IPT promotes an International long-
distance MBA course in the technology and innovation management
area.
The project is developed by a network of teachers and researchers
from national and international research institutes and universities.
IPT MBA INTERNACIONAL

Why should you study at IPT?

The objective of the proposal is an e-learning solution based on the Distance learning course
participatory and cooperative innovation model associated with a
training/education program at an academic level, on how to identify
opportunities for products, processes and services streamlining from different 510 hours
fields with a sustainable approach.

Furthermore, the program will create skills to convert knowledge into added
18 months
value for society, providing entrepreneurship training to innovative participants;
supporting new opportunities with innovative financing (crowd-sourcing) and
interacting to solve environmental problems with new tools and rationality of
IPT
the circular economy.

Regardless of the efforts made by developed and developing countries to

promote innovation, there remains a particular gap between academic research
and its transformation into valuable products, tools and resources for citizens
and society in a general sense.

Sources of scientific knowledge have little or no impact on companies'

innovation efforts, showing the weak link between scientific efforts and the
national innovation systems of these countries. Therefore, a central point of this
MBA experience is the architecture of skills, strategies, behaviors and tools that
it can provide and that are a necessary condition for transforming knowledge
into quality of life for all citizens.

Who should take this course?

The course is for holders of a higher education diploma or equivalent, in any
area, with certification duly recognized by the MEC
The Technology and Innovation Manager trained in this course will have the
ability to deal with bottlenecks in the development process and address
them as skills and behaviors, at the level of the countries involved, in
segments such as: zero or imperfect skills in the field of innovation and
project design; management of intellectual property rights, assessment of
technological and commercial risks; innovation management; technology
transfer agreements; technology marketing, among others.

EXPERIMENTAL DETERMINATION OF PARAMETERS FOR

GEOTECHNICAL PROJECTS
IPT APERFEIÇOAMENTO

Why should you study at IPT?

During the accomplishment of a civil engineering project, one always comes up Distance learning course
against the problem of the soil on which the work will be laid. While several
materials used in the construction of the work have their characteristics
previously specified (concrete, steel, wood, etc.), the soil, in general, must be 240 hours
accepted in the condition as is. Therefore, the first requirement when preparing
a geotechnical project is adequate knowledge of the local subsoil. It is necessary
to identify the different soil layers, as well as determine their engineering
8 months
behavior parameters, which must be done through field and laboratory tests.

IPT
