Warm Chocolate Puddings

This food may not be an everyday dessert, but it is just the thing for a cold winter’s night! With major developments in
food technology, our food choices are varied.

Ingredients (Serves 3) Utensils (make a list)


1 C plain flour
2 T cocoa powder

2 t baking powder
4 T caster sugar ______________________________________________
2 eggs
______________________________________________
80g butter, melted
1 c milk ______________________________________________

For the Sauce;
4 T brown sugar ______________________________________________
2 T cocoa powder
______________________________________________
1 C boiling water
______________________________________________
3 scoops vanilla ice-cream
______________________________________________
Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
2. Place the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, caster sugar, egg, butter and milk into a bowl and whisk
until a smooth batter forms.
3. Divide the mixture into 3 ramekin dishes. Place the dishes on an oven tray.
4. To make the sauce; combine the brown sugar and cocoa powder and sprinkle over each pudding. Pour the
boiling water over the puddings and transfer to the oven.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
6. Serve whilst hot with a scoop of ice-cream.
