Introduction

Effective 1st June 2024, it is compulsory for an employer to appoint an employee to act as an
Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSHC) if the employer employs five or more
employees at the place of work.

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace, it is crucial that
we enhance our internal capabilities in managing Occupational Safety and Health. Rather than
hiring a new staff, we would like to propose to appoint 3 staff to undergo training and to be
certified as Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSHC). This initiative will not only
comply with regulatory requirements but also promote a proactive safety culture within our
Company.

The primary objectives for Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSHC) are to :
• Ensure we comply with Malaysia Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
• Enhance the competency of our staff in managing workplace safety and health.
• Foster a safer and healthier work environment for all employees.
• Reduce workplace accidents, injuries, and associated costs.

Training Provider
We recommend to send our staff for Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSHC) Training
organized by Skill Solutions Sdn. Bhd. They offer a 3 days comprehensive OSHC certification
Training and it is claimable under HRDF.
