ere has been a debate on It is true that the question of whether importing foreign
products, namely films, series, programmes or keeping the creations of these cultural
pieces on a local scale is better for the sake of nation’ culture . Personally, I believe that
both deeds are equally important in terms of culture cultural benefits.
On the one hand, films and TV programmes from overseas can make a culture
flourishing. This is mainly due to the diversity of different cultures implied in the
products. Since this could broaden the audiences’ horizon by having them exposed to
such alien unfamiliar cultural values and beliefs, artists can be inspired insprised and
adopt these this uniquenesses as a source of materials for their creations. Therefore, the
nation that import cultural work will be enhanced culrturally. For instance, a korean
Korean block buster named ‘Descendents of the Sun’ acts as a encouragement, when
comes to Vietnam, for directors and producers to make a Vietnamese adaptation of it.
On the other hand, the betterment of culture preservation could be achieved by
manufacturing movies and TV programmes locally. To clarify, such production is an
efficient mean of propagating to the residents of that nation, this means a wider
recognition of local products. Otherwise, there will be a lack of knowledge about their
own culture. As a result, these people may pay appreciation and attempt to preserve the
valuable cultural heritages of their vicinity.
In conclusion, it seems to me that importing cultural products and manufacturing them
each have its own unique advantages that apply to different parts of the culture
improvement. Hence, they play equal roles and have the same level of
singificancesignificance. It is advisable that people should focus on both for
comprehensive cultural development.
