 Terms and Conditions
1. The owner of the pet shall get Pet dog Registr ation done & Pet Registr ation Number issued on annual basis.
2. The owner of the dog shall ensur e that Pet Registr ation Number is on nec k c ollar of the Dog at all times & on demand
pr oduc e the r egistr ation c er tific ate to the author ity.
3. A valid Anti Rabies vac c ination c er tific ate by a r egister ed Veter inar y pr ac titioner shall be the pr e-r equisite for Pet dog
Registr ation
4. In c ase a vac c inated dog is bitten by a Rabies suspec ted dog dur ing the validity per iod of r egistr ation, the owner of the dog
will ensur e its pr oper post- bite vac c ination r egimen under intimation to DDVS zone, failing whic h r egistr ation shall be
c anc elled.
5. Validity of Registr ation of the pet shall be c o-ter minus with that of Anti Rabies Vac c ination.
6. The owner shall indemnify MCD fr om all legal c onsequenc es ar ising due to violent ac ts of the pet viz: biting, injur ing and
howling any per son or other animals.
7. The owner shall be r esponsible for timely Anti Rabies Vac c ination and the good health of the pet dog.
8. The owner of the pet shall ensur e that his-her pet does not c ontr ibute in anyway in the gr owth of str ay c anine population.
9. The owner shall not allow an aggr essive dog to r oam fr eely without muzzle at any public plac e. Ir r esponsible owner ship
c ausing sever e biting injur y shall lead to c anc ellation of pet dog Registr ation. In suc h c ases, the owner shall be r esponsible
for pr oper c ompensation to the vic tim & shall bear all expenses likely to be inc ur r ed in Anti Rabies Ser um and post bite
Anti Rabies vac c ination of the vic tim.
10 The owner of the pet shall not allow his-her pet to defile public plac es and shall sc oop the poop instant to c lean up the spot
eac h suc h negligenc e will attr ac t a penalty of Rs.500/- fr om the DEMS.
11 The owner of the pet shall pr ovide adequate food and shelter to pet dog and shall not c ause any c r uelty to it failing whic h
SPCA pr ovisions would be invoked.
12 The Pet Dog Registr ation is nontr ansfer able in natur e. In c ase of c hange of owner ship, new owner will apply for fr esh
Registr ation Cer tific ate. Befor e applying, owner should take RC, ARV c er tific ate details etc . fr om pr evious owner. For
instanc e, if at the time of pur c hase of the Pet dog, the validity of Anti Rabies Vac c ination is likely to expir e after 2 months,
the owner of the pet shall r eapply for a fr esh Registr ation after getting booster dose of Anti Rabies Vac c ination
13 The owner shall not abandon his-her pet dog for str aying at public plac es.
14 The owner of the pet shall strictly abide by the above-mentioned Terms & conditions of the Pet Dog Registration. Any
violation of the Terms & conditions in part or as a whole shall lead to cancellation of the Registration.
