1 Go to www.singpass.gov.sg. Click ‘Log in’.
2 Click ‘Use password login instead’.
3 Click ‘Password login’.
4 Enter your Singpass ID and password and click 'Log in'.
5 Under Set up SMS 2FA, click ‘here’.
Only Singapore-registered mobile numbers can be used to register for SMS 2FA. If you are living overseas
or do not have a Singapore-registered mobile number, please use the Singpass app or Face Verification
as a 2FA.
6 Click ‘Activate Now’ under SMS 2FA.
7 Ensure the last four digits of your mobile number are correct.
Select ‘Click here to activate SMS 2FA instantly using Face
Verification’.
8 Please perform Face Verification (FV) to activate your mobile
number for SMS 2FA. Read the steps on the page and click
'Continue'.
9 Read the guidelines on the page. To allow the use of your
device's camera for FV, click 'Allow' when prompted, and click
'Begin scan'.
10 You will see the following notification after a successful verification.
11 Your mobile number has been activated for SMS 2FA.
You have completed your setup and activation of
SMS 2FA with FV.

6 Click 'Register’ under SMS 2FA
7 For Singapore registered address, ensure the postal code is correct.
For overseas registered address, ensure the address is correct.
Click 'Next'.

8 Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your mobile
number and click 'Next'.

10 Read the guidelines on the page. To allow the use of your
device's camera for FV, click 'Allow' when prompted, and click
'Begin Scan'.
11 You will see the following notification after a successful
verification.
12 Your mobile number has been registered and activated
for SMS 2FA.

6 Click ‘Activate Now’ under SMS 2FA.
Select ‘Click here to request a new activation PIN mailer’.
Click 'Next'.
9 You have successfully requested for a SMS 2FA activation PIN mailer
to be sent to your registered address.
Please follow the steps in the PIN mailer to or click here to learn how
to activate your SMS 2FA.
The password PIN mailer may take up to three working days to arrive at a local registered addresses.
For overseas registered addresses, delivery time will depend on overseas postal services.

The password PIN mailer may take up to three working days to arrive at a local registered addresses.
