INTODUCTION
Definition:
Recruitment: It involves looking for candidates, checking their resumes, and inviting
them for interviews to see if they're a match for the job.
Selection: After interviewing candidates, you choose the one who seems most qualified
and suitable for the job based on their skills, experience, and how well they fit with the
company culture.
Induction: Once we found the right candidate, Induction is like giving them a tour of
the workplace– we show them around the workplace, introduce them to their new
colleagues, explain how things work, and make them feel welcome. It's all about helping
them get comfortable in their new role.
Description: Recruitment involves finding and attracting potential candidates for a job
by posting openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting interviews to assess their
suitability. Selection is the process of choosing the best candidate from those recruited,
based on their qualifications, skills, and fit with the organization. Once the right person
is chosen, induction comes into play, which is all about welcoming them into the
company. It includes introducing them to their role, colleagues, and the company
culture, as well as providing any necessary training or resources to help them succeed.
Overall, these three processes are essential for bringing in new talent, ensuring they're a
good fit, and setting them up for success in their new role within the organization..
Awareness in philosophy and psychology is a concept
about knowing, perceiving and being cognizant of events.[1] Another definition describes
it as a state wherein a subject is aware of some information when that information is
directly available to bring to bear in the direction of a wide range of behavioral actions.
[2]
The concept is often synonymous to consciousness and is also understood as
being consciousness itself.[3]
The states of awareness are also associated with the states of experience so that the
structure represented in awareness is mirrored in the structure of experience.[2]

Recruitment, Selection & Induction
Key Takeaways
1. Recruitment: The initial step in the process, focusing on identifying and engaging
potential candidates for a job through various channels like job postings and networking.
2. Selection: Involves assessing and choosing the most suitable candidate from the
recruited pool based on their skills, experience, and cultural fit with the organization.
3. Induction: welcoming the chosen individual and train them with the company's culture,
policies, procedures, and their specific role to facilitate a smooth integration into the
team.
1. Acquiring Talent: They are the primary means by which organizations attract
and bring in new talent. Effective recruitment ensures a steady influx of qualified
candidates, while selection ensures that only the most suitable individuals are
chosen for the job.
2. Fit and Performance: Proper selection ensures that candidates not only have the
necessary skills and experience but also align with the organization's culture and
values.
7
4. Reducing Turnover: A well-executed recruitment, selection, and induction
process can help reduce employee turnover by ensuring that individuals are
adequately matched to their roles and the organization. When employees feel
valued and understand their roles, they are more likely to stay with the company.
1.Recruitment:
Job Postings: Posting job vacancies on the company website, job boards, and
social media platforms to attract potential candidates.
Employee Referrals: Encouraging current employees to refer qualified
candidates for open positions.
Campus Recruitment: Visiting colleges and universities to recruit recent
graduates for entry-level positions.
2.Selection:
Interviews: Conducting structured interviews to assess candidates' skills,
experience, and fit with the company culture.
Assessment Centres: Organizing assessment centres where candidates
participate in group activities, simulations, and exercises to evaluate their
competencies.
Reference Checks: Contacting former employers or colleagues to verify
candidates' qualifications and work performance.
3.Induction:
8
Onboarding Sessions: Organizing orientation sessions to introduce new hires
to the company's mission, values, policies, and procedures.
Buddy Systems: Pairing new employees with experienced colleagues who can
provide guidance and support during the onboarding process.
Training Programs: Providing job-specific training and development
opportunities to help new hires acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for
their roles.
Product awareness is the level of familiarity potential customers have with a particular
product or service being offered by a company. It’s a measure of how well a brand’s
marketing strategies have succeeded in exposing their product to the target audience, and
how effectively they have communicated the product’s features, benefits, and value
proposition.
Social media is a powerful tool for creating product awareness as it enables businesses
to directly engage with their target audience, share product information, generate buzz,
and receive real-time feedback from customers. Social media platforms like Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn offer unique opportunities for businesses to showcase
their products and build meaningful connections with potential buyers.
Some common misconceptions about product awareness include the belief that quality
products will automatically generate awareness, or that once a certain level of awareness
is reached, it can be maintained effortlessly. In reality, product awareness requires
ongoing marketing efforts to attract and retain customers, adapt to changing market
dynamics, and stay ahead of competitors.
