THEME The importance of keeping quiet, self analysis/ introspection and retrospection
To develop understanding among human beings
Why silent
● People are busy in selfish pursuits.
● They are a part of rat race to outshine others.
● The situation is full of negativity and aggression.
● people have created an atmosphere of destruction

● Together -Silence will bring unity among all the humans on the earth
● Count to 12 indicates the time frame to keep quiet , it is the measure of time clock
hours or 12months in a year
● On the face of the earth all the continents and the places on the earth.
● arms represent body part that implies to not to involve in any activity or it may also
imply arms ammunition.
● Extreme silence and stillness will be exotic and strange.
● Exotic -rare
● Strange because it has never occurred ( happened) earlier in the history of the earth
● bond of humanity will get stronger
● Without rush without engine means without the competitive world in which we are
engaged in a rat race to outshine others
Poetic devices
● Sudden strangeness- alliteration
● cold sea- transferred epithet (here cold means emotionless ,it does not
describe the sea but refers to human beings ,so adjective does not describe
sea But is transferred to human beings
● Hot hands- alliteration
● Clean clothes- alliteration
● Earth can teach us -personification
● Victory with no survivors - irony
● Without rush without engine - anaphora
● Let's not speak let stop - anaphora
● Arms-pun (represent the body part as well as a war ammunition)
● wars with fire , wars with gas -repetition
● Count to 12 - symbols
● Brother -synecdoche (brother represent brotherhood)
