1.0 Project Objectives

The main objectives of this project are as follows:

 Design and fabricate an evaporator system capable of handling a flowrate of

25-30 m³/hr.
 Ensure the evaporation system meets brine quality parameters.
 Provide detailed fabrication drawings for the evaporator system.
 Select suitable equipment and materials for the evaporator.
 Develop mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation designs.
 Estimate the cost of the entire system.


2.0 Scope of Work / Delieverables

2.1 Engineering Design

2.1.1 Equipment Selection

 Identify and select appropriate evaporator equipment including pumps

and generators
 Specify suitable materials for the construction of the evaporator
considering the corrosive nature of the brine.

2.1.2 Mechanical Design

 Prepare detailed mechanical design including nozzles design,

structural/foundation design, piping design and component layout.
 Provide fabrication drawings for all components of the evaporator system.

 Prepare detailed mechanical design including nozzles design, structural/foundation

design, piping design and component layout.
 Provide fabrication drawings for all components of the evaporator system.

2.1.3 Electrical Design

 Design the electrical system for the evaporator, including power requirements,
generators specification and electrical diagrams.
 Generator system required to ensure 2nd evaporator load as well for future expansion
 Select suitable electrical components (including cabling) and specify their installation
requirements.

2.1.4 Instrumentation Design

• Develop an instrumentation plan, including control panels.

• Prepare instrumentation diagrams and specify the control logic for the evaporator system.
