Narrative Report

Introduction
This week on my On-the-Job Training (OJT) I’ve been assigned as a CAD Operator in Fabriquem
Telecommunication Company and it was a valuable experience that provided me with practical insights
into the application of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software in the telecom industry. This narrative
report aims to document my journey, highlighting the tasks I performed, the skills I acquired, and the
challenges I encountered during my tenure.

Week 2
During the initial weeks of my OJT, I underwent orientation sessions to familiarize myself with the
company's operations, organizational structure, and safety protocols. I also received an introduction to
CAD software from Mr. Francis who is an expert in CAD software, Through hands-on training and
guidance from senior CAD operators, I learned the basic functions and commands of these software tools.
As I gained confidence in using CAD software, I was assigned tasks related to drawing preparation and
modification. This included creating detailed plans and diagrams for telecom infrastructure projects, such
as site layouts, tower designs, and fiber optic cable routes. I learned to interpret technical specifications
and translate them into accurate CAD drawings, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project
requirements.

Conclusion
My OJT as a CAD Operator at Fabriquem Telecommunication Company was a rewarding experience that
enhanced my technical skills, professional competencies, and industry knowledge. I am grateful for the
guidance and support provided by my mentors and colleagues, who helped me navigate through complex
projects and achieve meaningful contributions to the company's success. Moving forward, I am confident
that the valuable lessons learned during this OJT will serve as a solid foundation for my future career
endeavors in the field of telecommunications engineering.
