2. develop empathy towards the characters in the story understanding their motivations, desires, and
struggles; and
3. demonstrate creativity through activity such as roleplay.
ELICIT ICT INTEGRATION
TOOLS

Activity 1:
Before diving into the story, the teacher will ask the students what are the things Pictures of things that can be

Fact or Bluff. The teacher will present statements about the author and students
will guess if it is true about the author or not. The teacher will show a picture of
necklace and ask the students on what will be the lesson you are to discuss.

The teacher will present a slide of the story to students and have them read as a PowerPoint Presentation
whole. This will enhance the reading skills of the students. Remind them to take
note of the elements of the story such as the characters, settings, plot, conflict,
theme, and moral.

Activity 5: I AM A STORYMAKER
After reading, the teacher will show students some pictures about the sequence PowerPoint Presentation
of the story. Have them explain what’s on with the pictures. This activity will
help students understand the story better. It will also help them enhance their
thinking abilities.
Ask students the elements of the story. Discuss the significance of the necklace
as a symbol. Guide your students in analyzing the plot particularly on the moral
of the story.

Activity 6: ROLE-PLAY
Divide students into 3 groups and each group will select one scene that
captivated them most. The students will present their roleplay focusing on the
character emotions and themes.

EVALUATE

Administer a short quiz to assess students’ comprehension of the story. PowerPoint Slides.
Activity 7: SUMMA-REVIEW
Call one student to retell the story on the class. Through this way, you can check
whether the students understand the story. After that, ask them what they have
learned or the moral of the story.
