Level 1 Technical Training
The objective of Level 1 training is to enable technical personnel to be able to install and commission
Redetec Point Type Detector system independently.

Following topics will be covered in Level 1 Training:

1. Unboxing and checking the contents of Redetec Point Type Detector system.
2. Mounting Redetec into the Rack.
3. Setup and Commissioning.

Unboxing and checking the contents
1 x Redetec unit + 1 x Pack containing: 2 x keys, 3 x connection blocks, 2 x warning labels, 1 x T1A fuse, 1 Or 2 x Metron
actuation leads, 1 Or 2 x Discharge Pipes/Nozzles to suit 600/800/1000mm cabinet, 1 x Redetec Manual ,1 x Mains Power Lead
Setup and commissioning
Install 2 Firing Actuator (as below) in case of 3 ltr and 1 Actuator in case of 1.5 ltr Unit
Mounting Redetec
Rackmount kit is required for Redetec System.
Setup and commissioning

1. Ensure gas pressure gauge indicator is sitting at around 18.5 bar


2. Ensure key-switch is in ISOLATED position
3. Securely position unit at the top of the protected cabinet with four (4)
mounting screws and cage nuts
4. Ensure that there are Min.1U empty space below Redetec
5. Screw the discharge pipe with nozzle into the valve
6. Discharge nozzle must be fitted with the discharge holes pointing
downwards
7. Ensure that discharge area at the rear of the unit is free from
obstruction below the discharge nozzle
Setup and commissioning
Power Up
1. Ensure key is inserted and switched to ISOLATE position.
2. Tap power plug into AC supply and into the rear of the unit (male terminal with fuse).
3. The sounder will then sound intermittently with a long pause, indicating a fault condition.
4. The panel should now be showing
- FAULT indication – Intermittent
- ISOLATED indication – Continuously
- POWER ON indication – Continuously
5. Turn key to Enable control position, paused.
6. Turn key to Normal position.

At 4 DIF point : Refer below Screen for.
• Green White & Blue to be shorted.
• Blue White & Brown to be connected as shown.
• Rest Terminal will remain unterminated/open
& to be dressed properly.
Placement Terms:

Redetec system is 2U . You need Min.1U empty


space below to allow smoke to pick up by the
smoke detector which is position inside Redetec
Unit. Default delay time is set to 30 secs between
fire Signal activation and Gas release & it will be
set from the OEM factory itself
