4) Electro Magnetic Locks (2 per door)
5) Gas Spring
6) Temperature sensor
7) Cables

Tools required:
1) Drill Machine with standard drill bits
2) Screw driver set
3) Insulation Tape
4) Cable stripper
5) Allen key set

Physical Installation:
BIOMETRIC DEVICE:
The Biometric device is to be mounted on front door of the first rack.
The contents of the box include the device, mounting plate and manual.
Steps to mount:
1) Using a drill machine, make 3 holes matching the mounting plate, in the front door of first rack.
2) Install the mounting plate as per the below image.
3) Align the device with mounting plate. Push the terminal in the mounting plate from bottom up.
Fasten the terminal with the buckles on the plate. See below image.

4) Fix the device with one screw on the mounting plate and complete the installation.

5) After mounting, the smart cabinet looks like below.

Electro Magnetic Locks:
Each door has two numbers of EM locks, one at the top and one at the bottom. These locks come along
with armature plates, which are mounted on the door. When power is given to EM lock from the power
supply the EM locks are energized and armature plates are magnetically attracted and lock the door.
EM Lock Mounting:
1) Along with sheet metal kit, we get a mounting bracket which is to be mounted on the frame of
the cabinet at 04 places (02nos. in frame and 02 nos in door). As shown in below image.

2) The EM Lock comes with a bottom plate. Remove the bottom plate using Allen key which comes
along with EM lock.
3) This bottom plate is then fitted on the mounting bracket installed in the cabinet at top and
bottom side.

4) The armature plate is to be mounted on the rack door at top and bottom side as per below
image.

DC Power Supply:
For smart cabinet SC 26 AC, a 12 V DC power supply (ERD make) is part of the access control material.
This powers the Biometric device and EM locks through Egress switch and temperature controller.
Mounting:
Along with smart cabinet, we receive a 19-inch rack mountable cantilever shelf with perforations.
Fix the shelf on the rear side of the rack, behind POD.
The power supply is to be placed on the shelf between dedicated slots on the shelf as shown below.
Egress Switches (Push Button)
In the smart cabinet, the first door is controller by the Biometric access device.
The other doors need to be connected in the system using the Egress switches, as per the SLD given
later in this manual.

Mounting:
The egress switch is mounted on the side channel of the smart cabinet as shown below using single
M3/M4 self-taping screw.
Gas Spring:
In the material there are 2 number of gas spring per rack. This is a hydraulic spring which is installed for
opening the door in case of emergency.
Mounting:
1) In the sheet metal kit, there are 2 “C” brackets with holes for mounting the gas spring.
2) One “C” bracket is to be installed on the door frame and other on the mounting channel of the
door as shown in below image.
Temperature Controller and Sensor:
The doors of the smart cabinet open in case the temperature inside the rack is above the set
threshold (36 degrees in hot side). To achieve this function, the temperature controller and sensor
are provided with the material.
Mounting:
Along with smart cabinet, we receive a 19-inch rack mountable cantilever shelf with perforations.
Fix the shelf on the rear side of the rack, behind POD.
The temperature controller is to be placed on the shelf between dedicated slots on the shelf as
shown below.

The temperature sensor is to be tied to the rear side beside the 19-inch mounting rails.
