1. Discursive Essay — Write an essay (100-130 words) about how important it is for
teenagers to be fashionable.
2. Descriptive Essay — Write an essay (100-130 words) about a place you have
previously visited. Describe the place and say why you liked it.
3. Review — Write a review about the latest book you have read. Give your
impressions of the plot and the characters and say who should read this book.
4. Article — Write an article (100-130 words) for an entertainment magazine about
the cinema. Say if you like going to the cinema, which types of films are better to
watch at the cinema than at home and if you think cinemas are going to be more
popular in the future
5. Formal Letter — Write a formal letter to the principal with your ideas for an end-
of-term party. Suggest a couple of thematic ideas and explain why you deserve this
party (100-130 words).
6. Informal Email — Your local sports center has introduced some new rules for
members. You think they are unnecessary. Write a letter to a friend describing the
rules and explaining why you dislike them. Ask for your friend’s opinion. (100-130
