3. Discussion:
There are 3 types of simple tenses
of verbs the Simple Present, Simple
Past and Simple Future.

So first I will discuss what is simple

present.
Who would like to read the meaning of
simple present?
Okay, _____ kindly read the meaning of (The student will read the meaning of
simple present. simple Present)
Okay so simple present so when
we say present it happens in today’s
time or right now. And also it expresses
habitual action the things that you
always do every day. Permanent
condition or specific truth and general
truths.

The simple present tense has two form

The base form and the s- form.
When we say base form it is the word
itself and the s form is where we are
adding s or verb that end with s or es

We add s in our verb if our noun is in

singular form. But if our noun is in plural
form we use the verb that are in based
form.

Do you understand class? Yes, Ma’am

Sometimes markers, such as daily,

every day, every night, every week,
monthly, yearly are indicate actions that
are done regularly.

So if you see those verbs in a sentence

you can easily identify that verb that
being use is a simple present tense.

These are some example of simple

present tenses.
1.He goes to the school every morning.
So the pronoun is in singular that why
the verb is in s form which is goes.

2.They understands English.
SoBATANGAS,
the pronoun is plural so that the verb Excellence”
INC.
is in based form.

So do you understand the simple

present tenses class? Yes, Ma’am we understand simple
present tenses.
So let’s proceed to Simple Past
Who would like to read the meaning
of simple past? (Student read the meaning of simple
past)
Okay, please read the simple past.

So for the word itself simple past, past is

something that already done so it is in
past tense.

The word such as yesterday, a week

ago and last summer often tell the
action took place at a definite time.

Verbs in the simple past tense may be

in regular verb or irregular form.

This are the example of regular verb

So the regular verb is end with d or ed

when it is in simple past.
Okay so the base form is establish, we
will add d or ed when it is in simple past.
So the simple past of establish is
established with ed.

Do you understand class?

Yes, Ma’am we understand.
We add d or ed to the base form of
regular verb in order for us to come up
with it simple past.

Okay proceed to irregular verbs

INC.

So this are the example of verb that are

in irregular verb.
Can you read the irregular verb?
(Student will read the example of irregular
Okay thank you for reading the example verb)
of irregular verb.

So irregular verb is verb that change in

spelling in order for u to form it into
simple past.

Now let’s proceed to Simple Future

Can you read what is Simple Future?

So simple future is tenses expresses
action or being that will happen very
soon or later time or in the future. So it (Student will read what is simple future)
is not happening right now and maybe it
will happen later, tomorrow, or next
week.

Can you read the future time maker that

indicates future time?
(Student will read future time makers)
So some future time makers are such as
tomorrow, next week, in the years to
come and a year from now indicate
future time.
Anything that indicates that something
happens in the future for example the
word will and shall. When you see will
and shall in a sentence it means it is
something will happen.

Example #1
1. I shall see her tonight.
The word tonight that is the time
maker that describes future or it will
happen not now but tonight.
So in this example the indicator here
that this word is in simple future is the

word shall.
BATANGAS, Excellence”
INC.
2.April will attend their wedding next
month.
The word month is another example of
time maker that describes future.
And another is the word will that also
indicate it is something to happen.

Take a look at the same highlighted

words included in the feature article
again and study the tenses of each verb
or verb phrase. Other forms of the given
verbs are provided in their proper
column. Analyze the table below.

PAST PRESENT FUTURE

put puts will put
decided decide shall
decide
exerted exert will exert
needed need shall need
believed believe will
believed
visited visits will visit
provided provided will
provide
gave give shall give
remained remain will
remain
depended depends will depend
So in this table class we can see
here see the example of verb that we
will know what is the past tense, present
tense and the future tense of those verb.

So again past tense is happened in the

past.
Present is today’s time or happening
right now and future will happen very
soon or in the near future.

So put, puts and will put. In present puts

with s it is because it is use with the
singular noun, and as you can see in the
future there are the word will that
indicate that it will happen very soon.

Another example is the word decide,

which is determined in the past tense
with d and decided in the present tense

with s. This is because it is used in
BATANGAS,
plural nouns, but when the noun is Excellence”
singular,INC.
we add s to make it decides,
and in the future shall decide.

(I will read the other example of past,

simple and future verb example)

So as we can see class, in our past

tense those are example of regular
verbs because they usually end with d
or ed.
Remember that in the present tense,
when the noun is singular, our verb
ends in s or es, but when the noun is
plural, your verb must be in based form.
