TOPIC: Working from home has become more and more common in many places all
over the world. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

In this contemporary world, there has been an increasing interest in telecommuting
in a variety of areas all around the globe. From my perspective, despite the
disadvantages in terms of working remotely, I am more convinced that the benefits
are much more considerable.

On the one hand, distance working may result in some undesirable consequences.
Firstly, the main drawback of this issue will be the lack of direct communication
causing the failing to access adequate information and connect with the colleagues
perfectly . Another result is being unable to perform the tasks in an appropriate
manner which may lead to loose trusts or expectations from superiors, even in the
appalling situation the employees will be out of work. Secondly, distance working
harms some special positions such as designers, web programmers,... that need a
completely equipped computer to perform the work. Since facilities do not meet the
requirements of the jobs, it will have a significant influence on progress and quality of
tasks. This is still one of the typical disadvantages of working from home.

On the other hand, despite the possible disadvantages mentioned above, I am more
convinced of the advantages offered by telecommuting. Initially, the working time is
flexible for the employees having children, it allows them to select an appropriate
amount of time to work effectively. Moreover, the flexibility in working time supports
people to take care of their family and spend leisure time on going outside without
interrupting the given tasks. Additionally, the cost-saving is another reason to work
remotely because it reduces the huge amount of cost spending for moving between
the working places and the house; subsequently, it is unnecessary to invest in
appearance such as buying elegant clothes for engaging in formal situations. Lastly,
remote working eases various arguments and surrounding conflicts as a result of
indirect contact with the superiors or colleagues when signs of disharmony appear.

In conclusion, while there are undoubtedly downsides to working from home, I firmly
concur that the benefits of this issue far outweigh the drawbacks.
