A. Review
The Teacher will ask the following
question:
Question 1: What was our topic
yesterday?
Question 2: Can somebody give me
examples about the lesson we’ve
discussed?
B. Motivation.
The teacher will play top of the world
math song.
C. Activity
(The teacher will ask the student the
following question.)
 picture of objects, people, things
that is difficult to count or difficult to
give the exact number.
The teacher will let the student
identify what is in the picture.
D. Analysis
(The teacher will show the steps in
rounding numbers
1. Know the place value of the digit to
be round off
2. Check the digits to its right.
3. If the digit to its right is 4 or below,
retain the digit to be rounded off.
If, it is 5 or above, add 1 to the digit to
be rounded off
The teacher will give and example of
numbers to be rounded off, and let
her students rounded it off by
following the formula above.

 Can you give me the exact
amount of this objects?

picture?
D. Analysis
The teacher will show a board.
Read the problem
Ivy grandfather has 41,000 chickens in his
poultry. To the nearest ten thousands. How
many chicken does he have?
The teacher will explain the problem, and
ask her students to participate
You can find the answer by rounding 41,000
to the nearest tens thousands
The teacher will discuss the number line
Since 41,000 is closer to 40,000, we say,
41,000 rounded to the nearest ten thousand
is 40,000. So ivy grandfather has about
40,000 chickens.
