-EMAIL
STRUCTURE:
 Greetings: hi, hello, hiya
 Opening paragraph: React to the peoples news: What great news, wow that is
amazing, I am so glad, Thanks for your email….It is nice to hear from you….,
Thank you very much for your email….
 Main paragraph 1: Reply to the first question.
 Main paragraph 2: Reply to second question or bit of information
 Closing paragraph: We start to say goodbye, wish the person well, ask
questions. Well it was nice talking to you…, I would like to know…, anyway look
after yourself……, well I have to go now…………
 Goodbye: short expression to say goodbye. See you soon…, speak soon, Take
care….,
 Signature: Sign the email with our name.

STRUCTURE:
 Title: A title that summarizes the story or has to do with the main theme.
 Exposition: The beginning of the story, where the characters are presented and
an introduction to the action.
 Action: The most interesting part of the story, the characters deal with a
conflict.
 Resolution: This part is where the conflict is resolved and the story concludes.

EXAMPLE:

TIME PHRASES: Then, after that, suddenly, meanwhile, as soon as, a moment later,
later….
CREATING SUSPENSE: Suddenly, All of a sudden, without warning, Out of the blue,
Unexpectedly, out of nowhere….
FINISHING YOUR STORY: In the end, finally, eventually, luckily….
VERB TENSES: PAST SIMPLE, PAST CONTINUOUS, PAST PERFECT.

-ARTICLE:
STRUCTURE:
 Title: Something that will catch the readers eye, the best team in the world,
the most interesting book, the best way to spend your time….
 Introduction: Rhetorical question or general opinion, if the article is about
books: books are used everyday…… or rhetorical questions: have you ever
thought about which is the best book to read?
 1st idea: Answer the first question or first aspect to talk about.
 2n Idea (if there is one): The second question or aspect.
 Closing: question for the audience or recommendation to read the article or
related to the topic

TO START THE ARTICLE WITH RHETORICAL QUESTIONS: Have you ever thought
about…., Do you ever wonder…, What do you think about…..,
TO INTRODUCE IDEAS AND SEPARATE IDEAS: First, in the first place, second, in the
second place, finally, Moreover, however.
