According to recent report of The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy, the
Finnish energy technology export grows fast. During the year 2008 the energy
technology export reached the value of 5 billion Euros, which is 7.6 % of all Finnish
export. This means that Finland is one of the most specialized energy technology
supplier in the world. Numbers include all energy forms, but not for example
component delivery, so the actual values are even larger. It was also pointed out
in the same report, that there are still growing sectors in the renewable energy
technology markets.
An extensive survey was sent nationwide to the renewable energy technology
suppliers. Questions covered the whole value chains for each branch of energy
sources, companies’ current status and future prospects, willingness for
networking and to extend their business plus many other things. These results
will be reported in detail in due course.
