I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of: African literature as a means
exploring forces that human beings created.
B. Performance Standard The learner transfers learning by composing and delivering an
informative speech based on a specific topic of interest keeping in mind
the proper and effective use of parallel structures and cohesive devices
and appropriate prosodic features, stance, and behavior.
C. Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) Read and understand the short story read
(if available write the indicated MELC) Identify some vocabulary words given in the selection.
Answer some questions related to the selection read.
D. Enabling Competencies
(if available write the attached enabling competencies) Use short selection in understanding the idea of it.
