NOVALUX ZINC CHROMATE PRIMER 111-4

DESCRIPTIONS : Novalux Zinc Chromate Primer 111-4 is a primer for both

interior and exterior for aluminium, iron and steel surfaces. It
is intended to provide good over aluminium surfaces or as a
rust inhibitive primer over iron and its chemicals
pigmentation provides rust inhibitive and good
characteristic. Its high build film allows one coat application
of up to 75 by brush or spray.

RECOMMENDED : As a general purpose anti corrosive protection to iron, steel

USES or aluminium. It is dry heat resistance to 93ºC

Recommended : Surfaces must be dry and in sound condition. Remove
Surface Preparation fallout, oil, dirt, loose rust and peeling paint or other
contamination to ensure good adhesion.
Aluminium :
Remove all oil, grease, dirt, oxide and other foreign material
by solvent cleaning per SSPC-SP1.

Iron and Steel :

Minimum surface preparation is hand Tool Cleaning per
SSPC-SP2. Remove all oil and grease from the surface by
Solvent Cleaning per SSPC-SP1, for better performance,
use Commercial Blast Cleaning per SSPC-SP6

Application : Work primer by brush into crevices, welds and sharp edges
to protect against early failure. For maximum durability,
double coat these areas.
Do not topcoat with strong solvent topcoats.

Application Methods : Airless Spray, Roller or Brush.

Cleaning Solvent : Novalux Thinner 112

Mixing Instructions : Stir thoroughly until homogeneous. Adjust with Thinner 111
to desired viscosity spray.
