Vivatech 2023 Overview

1. Name of the Viva Technology 2023

Program

2. Program brief VivaTech is Europe’s biggest innovation, start-up and tech event held
annually in Paris, France, at Expo Porte de Versailles and online that is
scheduled from June 14-17th 2023.It involves an collaborative collection of
start-up showcases, innovation exhibits, workshops, panel discussions, CEO
talks etc. from countries and MNCs from across the world. VivaTech brings
together the best of corporates, start-ups, investors, research
organizations, policy makers etc. under one roof for the 4 days of the event.

Indian start-up ecosystem has been growing very fast. It has been
innovating at a rapid pace and now India has the world’s 3rd largest startup
ecosystem with over 109 unicorns which reflects the scale and recognition
of Indian ecosystems.

Technology & innovation are transforming lives of 1.4 billion Indians in an

open and democratic framework. Through an open, free, inclusive, and
democratic public digital infrastructure and platforms, India is accelerating
change and fostering private innovation.

India’s big technology firms are powering digital transformation, preparing

businesses for the future, and addressing global challenges, including on
ecological transition, clean energy, mobility, water & agriculture.

3. Objectives 1. The objective of participating in Vivatech is to showcase Indian

start-ups are solving global problems and innovating for the world.
2. Showcase Indian leadership in public digital infrastructure and its
application in both the developed and developing world, and the
institutional, policy, incentives and market structures that enabled
it.
3. Introduce platform for our dynamic and innovative startups.
4. Showcasing solutions such as UPI, and products that can address
key societal and global challenges.
5. Showcase the interface between society and technology in India,
including on democracy, gender, inclusion and empowerment.

MSH Delegates at VivaTech 2023

Viva Technology or VivaTech is Europe's biggest startup and tech event. From keynote speakers and
exhibits to labs and live experiences, VivaTech 2023 was a celebration of today's innovative technologies
that have the power to transform the future. VivaTech brought together the best of corporates, start-
ups, investors, research organizations, policy makers etc. under one roof for the 4 days of the event. The
event will firstly strengthen the existing digital cooperation between two countries.

The MSH Delegation centered its engagements at VivaTech around physical booths named “India –
Country pavilion”. The booth highlighted the Indian Startup ecosystem, partnership opportunities, and
showcased promising Indian startups. MSH participated with a physical delegation of 6 Startups selected
by MeitY Startup Hub. The startups had their booths at the event, located inside the “India – Country
Pavilion”.

MSH coordinated with Startup India to support start-ups on Indian pavilion, coordinating on smooth
operation of pavilion events, investors connects/ pitching sessions.

The startups showcased their innovation in the India pavilion through their product / working prototype
/ computer simulations / AV content etc. The startups are also encouraged to take active part in the other
events of the India pavilion, network with relevant stakeholders through several networking sessions and
may pitch to Indian and European Stakeholders.

Mr.Nalin Kumar Srivastava, Scientist D, MeitY and Mr.Jeet Vijay, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub led the Indian
delegation at the ongoing conference. Indian ambassador to France, Shri Jawed Ashraf, and Indian
government officials, CEOs and digital experts have also joined graced the event.
