21 Then Peter came to Jesus and
asked, “Lord, how many times
shall I forgive my brother or sister
who sins against me? Up to seven
times?” 22 Jesus answered, “I tell
you, not seven times, but seventy-
seven times. 23 “Therefore, the
kingdom of heaven is like a king
who wanted to settle
accounts with his servants. 24 As
he began the settlement, a man
who owed him ten thousand bags
of gold was brought to him.

‫ ﻓَﻠَ ﱠﻤﺎ‬٢٤ .ُ‫ﻋ ِﺒﻴ َﺪﻩ‬ َ ‫ﺐ‬ َ ‫ﺳ‬ ِ ‫َﻣ ِﻠﻜًﺎ ﺃ َ َﺭﺍ َﺩ ﺃ َ ْﻥ ﻳُ َﺤﺎ‬
َ ‫ﺍ ْﺑﺘ َ َﺪﺃ َ ﻓِﻲ ﺍ ْﻟ ُﻤ َﺤﺎ‬
ِ ‫ﺳﺒَ ِﺔ ﻗُ ِ ّﺪ َﻡ ﺇِﻟَ ْﻴ ِﻪ َﻭ‬
‫ﺍﺣ ٌﺪ‬
.‫ﻑ َﻭ ْﺯﻧَ ٍﺔ‬ ِ َ‫ﻮﻥ ِﺑﻌَﺸ َْﺮ ِﺓ ﺁﻻ‬ ٌ ُ‫َﻣ ْﺪﻳ‬
25 Since he was not able to pay, the master
ordered that he and his wife and his
‫ﺳ ِﻴّ ُﺪﻩُ ﺃ َ ْﻥ‬ َ ‫ َﻭﺇِ ْﺫ ﻟَ ْﻢ ﻳَﻜ ُْﻦ ﻟَﻪُ َﻣﺎ ﻳُﻮﻓِﻲ ﺃ َ َﻣ َﺮ‬٢٥
children and all that he had be sold to ،ُ‫ﺍﻣ َﺮﺃَﺗُﻪُ َﻭﺃ َ ْﻭﻻَ ُﺩﻩُ َﻭ ُﻛ ﱡﻞ َﻣﺎ ﻟَﻪ‬ ْ ‫ﻉ ُﻫ َﻮ َﻭ‬ َ ‫ﻳُﺒَﺎ‬
repay the debt. 26 “At this the servant fell ُ‫ﺳ َﺠ َﺪ ﻟَﻪ‬ َ ‫ ﻓَ َﺨ ﱠﺮ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ ُﺪ َﻭ‬٢٦ .‫َﻭﻳُﻮﻓَﻲ ﺍﻟ ﱠﺪ ْﻳ ُﻦ‬
on his knees before him. ‘Be patient
with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back
‫ﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ ﻓَﺄُﻭ ِﻓﻴَ َﻚ‬ َ ‫ ﻳَﺎ‬:ً‫ﻗَﺎ ِﺋﻼ‬
َ ‫ ﺗ َ َﻤ ﱠﻬ ْﻞ‬،ُ‫ﺳ ِﻴّﺪ‬
everything.’ 27 The servant’s master took َ ‫ ﻓَﺘ َ َﺤﻨﱠ َﻦ‬٢٧ .‫ﺍ ْﻟ َﺠ ِﻤﻴ َﻊ‬
‫ﺳ ِﻴّ ُﺪ ﺫ ِﻟ َﻚ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ ِﺪ‬
pity on him, canceled the debt and let ‫ َﻭﻟَ ﱠﻤﺎ َﺧ َﺮ َﺝ‬٢٨ .‫ َﻭﺗ َ َﺮ َﻙ ﻟَﻪُ ﺍﻟ ﱠﺪ ْﻳ َﻦ‬،ُ‫َﻭﺃ َ ْﻁﻠَﻘَﻪ‬
him go. 28 “But when that servant went
out, he found one of his fellow servants
،‫ﺍﺣﺪًﺍ ِﻣ َﻦ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ِﺒﻴ ِﺪ ُﺭﻓَﻘَﺎﺋِ ِﻪ‬ ِ ‫ﺫ ِﻟ َﻚ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ ُﺪ َﻭ َﺟ َﺪ َﻭ‬
who owed him a hundred silver َ‫ﺴ َﻜﻪُ َﻭﺃ َ َﺧﺬ‬ َ ‫ ﻓَﺄ َ ْﻣ‬،‫َﺎﻥ َﻣ ْﺪﻳُﻮﻧًﺎ ﻟَﻪُ ِﺑ ِﻤﺌ َ ِﺔ ِﺩﻳﻨَ ٍﺎﺭ‬ َ ‫ﻛ‬
coins. He grabbed him and began to ‫ ﻓَ َﺨ ﱠﺮ‬٢٩ .‫ﻋﻠَ ْﻴ َﻚ‬ َ ‫ ﺃ َ ْﻭ ِﻓﻨﻲ َﻣﺎ ِﻟﻲ‬:ً‫ِﺑﻌُﻨُ ِﻘ ِﻪ ﻗَﺎ ِﺋﻼ‬
choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’
he demanded. 29 “His fellow servant fell
:ً‫ﺐ ﺇِﻟَ ْﻴ ِﻪ ﻗَﺎﺋِﻼ‬ َ َ‫ﻋﻠَﻰ ﻗَ َﺪ َﻣ ْﻴ ِﻪ َﻭ َﻁﻠ‬ َ ُ‫ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ ُﺪ َﺭﻓِﻴﻘُﻪ‬
to his knees and begged him, ‘Be .‫ﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ ﻓَﺄُﻭﻓِﻴَ َﻚ ﺍ ْﻟ َﺠ ِﻤﻴ َﻊ‬ َ ‫ﺗ َ َﻤ ﱠﻬ ْﻞ‬
patient with me, and I will pay it back.’
 ‫ﺳ ْﺠ ٍﻦ َﺣﺘﱠﻰ‬ ِ ‫ﻀﻰ َﻭﺃ َ ْﻟﻘَﺎﻩُ ﻓِﻲ‬ َ ‫ ﻓَﻠَ ْﻢ ﻳُ ِﺮ ْﺩ ﺑَ ْﻞ َﻣ‬٣٠
30 “But he refused. Instead, he went off and
had the man thrown into prison until he
could pay the debt. 31 When the other ‫ ﻓَﻠَ ﱠﻤﺎ َﺭﺃَﻯ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ِﺒﻴ ُﺪ ُﺭﻓَﻘَﺎ ُﺅﻩُ َﻣﺎ‬٣١ .‫ﻳُﻮﻓِ َﻲ ﺍﻟ ﱠﺪ ْﻳ َﻦ‬
servants saw what had happened, they
were outraged and went and told their
‫ﻋﻠَﻰ‬ َ ‫ﺼﻮﺍ‬ ‫ َﻭﺃَﺗ َ ْﻮﺍ َﻭﻗَ ﱡ‬.‫ َﺣ ِﺰﻧُﻮﺍ ِﺟﺪﺍ‬،‫َﺎﻥ‬ َ ‫ﻛ‬
master everything that had happened. َ ‫ ﻓَ َﺪﻋَﺎﻩُ ِﺣﻴﻨَ ِﺌ ٍﺬ‬٣٢ .‫ﺳ ِﻴّ ِﺪ ِﻫ ْﻢ ُﻛ ﱠﻞ َﻣﺎ َﺟ َﺮﻯ‬
ُ‫ﺳ ِﻴّ ُﺪﻩ‬ َ
ّ ِ ‫ ﺃَﻳﱡ َﻬﺎ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ ُﺪ ﺍﻟ‬:ُ‫َﻭﻗَﺎ َﻝ ﻟَﻪ‬
32 “Then the master called the servant in.

‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I

canceled all that debt of yours because
you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have
had mercy on your fellow servant just
as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master
handed him over to the jailers to be
tortured, until he should pay back all he
owed. 35 “This is how my heavenly
Father will treat each of you unless you
forgive your brother or sister from your
heart.”
‫ ُﻛ ﱡﻞ ﺫ ِﻟ َﻚ ﺍﻟ ﱠﺪ ْﻳ ِﻦ‬،‫ﻳﺮ‬ ُ ‫ﺸ ِ ّﺮ‬
َ ‫ ﺃَﻓَ َﻤﺎ ﻛ‬٣٣ .‫ﺗ َ َﺮ ْﻛﺘُﻪُ ﻟَ َﻚ ﻷَﻧﱠ َﻚ َﻁﻠَ ْﺒﺖَ ﺇِﻟَ ﱠﻲ‬
‫َﺎﻥ‬
‫ﻀﺎ ﺗ َ ْﺮ َﺣ ُﻢ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ َﺪ َﺭﻓِﻴﻘَ َﻚ َﻛ َﻤﺎ‬ ً ‫ﻳَ ْﻨﺒَ ِﻐﻲ ﺃَﻧﱠ َﻚ ﺃ َ ْﻧﺖَ ﺃ َ ْﻳ‬
‫ﺳﻠﱠ َﻤﻪُ ِﺇﻟَﻰ‬ َ ‫ﺳ ِﻴّ ُﺪﻩُ َﻭ‬ َ ‫ﺐ‬ َ ‫ﻏ ِﻀ‬ َ ‫ َﻭ‬٣٤ .‫َﺭ ِﺣ ْﻤﺘ ُ َﻚ ﺃَﻧَﺎ؟‬
.‫ﻋﻠَ ْﻴ ِﻪ‬
َ ُ‫َﺎﻥ ﻟَﻪ‬ َ ‫ﻴﻦ َﺣﺘﱠﻰ ﻳُﻮ ِﻓ َﻲ ُﻛ ﱠﻞ َﻣﺎ ﻛ‬ َ ‫ﺍ ْﻟ ُﻤﻌَ ِﺬّ ِﺑ‬
‫ﻱ ﻳَ ْﻔﻌَ ُﻞ ِﺑ ُﻜ ْﻢ ﺇِ ْﻥ ﻟَ ْﻢ‬ ‫ﺴ َﻤﺎ ِﻭ ﱡ‬ ‫ ﻓَﻬ َﻜﺬَﺍ ﺃ َ ِﺑﻲ ﺍﻟ ﱠ‬٣٥
.«‫ﺍﺣ ٍﺪ ﻷ َ ِﺧﻴ ِﻪ ﱠﺯﻻَﺗِ ِﻪ‬ ِ ‫ﺗَﺘْ ُﺮﻛُﻮﺍ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻗُﻠُﻮ ِﺑ ُﻜ ْﻢ ُﻛ ﱡﻞ َﻭ‬
 Matthew 18:23-25
23 “Therefore, the kingdom of
heaven is like a king who wanted

‫ﻀﺎ ﺗ َ ْﺮ َﺣ ُﻢ ﺍ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺒ َﺪ‬ ً ‫َﺎﻥ ﻳَ ْﻨﺒَ ِﻐﻲ ﺃَﻧﱠ َﻚ ﺃ َ ْﻧﺖَ ﺃ َ ْﻳ‬

29 For those who eat and drink without ‫ُﻭﻥ‬
ِ ‫ﺏ ِﺑﺪ‬ ُ ‫ ﻷ َ ﱠﻥ ﺍﻟﱠ ِﺬﻱ ﻳَﺄ ْ ُﻛ ُﻞ َﻭﻳَﺸ َْﺮ‬٢٩
ِ ‫ﺏ َﺩ ْﻳﻨُﻮﻧَﺔً ِﻟﻨَ ْﻔ‬ ُ ‫ﺳﺘِ ْﺤﻘَﺎﻕ ﻳَﺄ ْ ُﻛ ُﻞ َﻭﻳَﺸ َْﺮ‬
discerning the body of Christ eat and
drink judgment on themselves. 30 That ،‫ﺴ ِﻪ‬ ْ ‫ﺍ‬
is why many among you are weak and ‫ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺃ َ ْﺟ ِﻞ ﻫﺬَﺍ‬٣٠ .‫ﺏ‬ ِ ّ ‫ﺍﻟﺮ‬
‫ﺴ َﺪ ﱠ‬ َ
َ ‫ﻏ ْﻴ َﺮ ُﻣ َﻤ ِﻴّ ٍﺰ َﺟ‬
sick, and a number of you have fallen
asleep. 31 But if we were more ،‫ﺿﻰ‬ َ ‫ﺿﻌَﻔَﺎ ُء َﻭ َﻣ ْﺮ‬ ُ ‫ﻭﻥ‬ َ ‫ﻴﺮ‬ ُ ِ‫ﻓِﻴ ُﻜ ْﻢ َﻛﺜ‬
discerning with regard to ourselves, we ‫ ﻷَﻧﱠﻨَﺎ ﻟَ ْﻮ ُﻛﻨﱠﺎ‬٣١ .‫ُﻭﻥ‬ َ ‫ﻭﻥ ﻳَ ْﺮﻗُﺪ‬ َ ‫ﻴﺮ‬ ُ ِ‫َﻭ َﻛﺜ‬

32 Nevertheless, when we are judged in ٣٢ ،‫ﻋﻠَ ْﻴﻨَﺎ‬ َ ‫ﺴﻨَﺎ ﻟَ َﻤﺎ ُﺣ ِﻜ َﻢ‬ ِ ُ‫ﻋﻠَﻰ ﺃ َ ْﻧﻔ‬َ ‫َﺣﻜ َْﻤﻨَﺎ‬
this way by the Lord, we are being
disciplined so that we will not be finally
‫ﺏ‬ ‫ﱠﺏ ِﻣ َﻦ ﱠ‬
ِ ّ ‫ﺍﻟﺮ‬ ُ ‫ ﻧُ َﺆﺩ‬،‫ﻋﻠَ ْﻴﻨَﺎ‬ َ ‫َﻭﻟ ِﻜ ْﻦ ﺇِ ْﺫ ﻗَ ْﺪ ُﺣ ِﻜ َﻢ‬

he made himself nothing by taking ،ٍ‫ﻋ ْﺒﺪ‬َ َ‫ﻮﺭﺓ‬ َ ‫ﺻ‬ ُ ‫ﺁﺧﺬًﺍ‬ ِ ،ُ‫ﺴﻪ‬ َ ‫ﺃ َ ْﺧﻠَﻰ ﻧَ ْﻔ‬
the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness. 8 ‫ َﻭ ِﺇ ْﺫ ُﻭ ِﺟ َﺪ‬٨ .‫ﺎﺱ‬ ِ ‫ﺷ ْﺒ ِﻪ ﺍﻟﻨﱠ‬ ِ ‫ﺻﺎ ِﺋ ًﺮﺍ ِﻓﻲ‬ َ
And being found in appearance as a ُ ‫ﺴﻪ‬ َ ‫ﺿ َﻊ ﻧَ ْﻔ‬ َ ‫ َﻭ‬،‫ﺎﻥ‬ ٍ ‫ﺴ‬ َ ‫ﻓِﻲ ﺍ ْﻟ َﻬ ْﻴﺌ َ ِﺔ َﻛ ِﺈ ْﻧ‬
man, he humbled himself by
becoming obedient to death even
َ‫ﻉ َﺣﺘﱠﻰ ﺍ ْﻟ َﻤ ْﻮﺕَ َﻣ ْﻮﺕ‬ َ ‫َﻭﺃ َ َﻁﺎ‬
death on a cross. .‫ﺐ‬ِ ‫ﺼ ِﻠﻴ‬ ‫ﺍﻟ ﱠ‬
