APPLICATION LETTER FOR POSITION OF HEAD BOY 2022/2023 SESSION

Good day Principal, V.P. academics, V.P. Admin, Head of Boarding, School administration and all
staff reading this letter.

My name is Toluwani Anuoluwapo Toluhi, I am in Year 11T and I am going for the position of the Head
boy of the 2022/2023 session.

Right off the bat in year 7, I had a moment of realization that I wanted to become the Head Boy of this
institution. I walked right into the hostel doors and just felt a connection, a call to lead and from that
point on I began to work towards my goal at becoming the head prefect of Atlantic hall.

I started my journey as the room head of room 6 in year 7 where I was given the power and authority
over my peers in my room. Being a room head taught me to oversee and lead people in the right way. It
taught me how be patient and understanding when faced with a challenge, when to be strict and when
to be lenient. Though I fumbled at some points with the help of my house parents over time I learnt how
to get the job done the right way. I was also given the position of Hostel Governor in year 10 where I
learnt to control not just one room but all of my set mates. I was charged to control and guide all my
peers and this helped me to know how to lead a large group of people. I am currently a room head and
coordinator and I was part of the shortlist for prefects and I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.

I believe I can be the Head boy because as I have mentioned over the years I have gained the
sufficient experience and skills needed to lead and if given the opportunity I know I will not fall below
expectations. As the head boy I would help change the school and make it more disciplined but at the
same time more fun this would be possible with the help of my colleagues. I would work well with my
fellow colleagues and help organize and guide them as they also carry out their various tasks and duties
the way I would make this possible is by holding weekly meetings with all the prefects where we will
discuss problems of the school and ways to fix them.

As the head boy I would also listen to the voices of the students and help teach them about the
right decisions to make because I have been equipped with the skill to do so through my journey in
Atlantic Hall. If given the chance as head boy I would work with the management and staff of this school
towards the goal of making this school a better institution all round, this will be possible if I am given the
opportunity to cooperate with the school.

I believe I am the only man for the job because I am enthusiastic, social, smart and disciplined
and have the ability to carry out all the listed tasks and roles of the head boy. I will also be able to bring
new ideas to the table like having assigned set monitors to help train the students from a young age to
become leaders. I respect authorities and I know to never overstep my boundaries.

I hope I have been able to convince you why I should be the head boy of the 2022/2023 session.
