Introduction:
Maulana Mohammad Ali Johar was a prominent figure in the Indian
independence movement, known for his roles as a journalist, politician, and
activist. Born in 1878 in Rampur, India, he was a fervent advocate for the rights
of Muslims and a staunch supporter of India's independence from British rule.
Johar was deeply influenced by the ideals of pan-Islamism and worked
tirelessly to mobilize Muslims in the struggle for freedom.
3. Editorship of "Hamdard":
Johar later became the editor of the Urdu newspaper "Hamdard," where he
continued his crusade for freedom and social justice. Under his leadership,
"Hamdard" became a leading voice for Muslim interests and played a crucial
role in shaping public opinion.
4. Advocacy for Muslim Rights:
As a journalist, Johar used his pen to highlight the discrimination and injustices
faced by Muslims under British rule. He advocated for the protection of
