The newly-organized Barangay Literacy Coordinating Council (BLCC) of Looc, initially

composed of the Barangay Looc Council, the University of Cebu-Lapu-Lapu and
Mandaue, and the Cesar M. Cabahug Elementary School is launching the Looc READS
(Reading Engagement and Development Service) Program. This program, aligned
with DepEd's Brigada Pagbasa, aims to address the literacy gap among the 295
identified struggling readers of the Barangay Looc enrolled in Cesar M. Cabahug
Elementary School. The program duration is from October 2022 - May 2023 and is set to
launch on October 21, 2022, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Barangay Looc Gym. We would be
honored if you could grace the program launching.

We believe that the goal of this project complements the vision and mission of your
organization as well. With this, we would like to ask for any support from your organization
to help the implementation of this program be successful. Rest assured that the
accumulated support you will provide will be appropriately accounted for and will solely be
used for the expenses related to the reading program.
