Primary purpose of job


The General Technician for Telecommunications Services at workshop is to conduct, manage, and supervise
implementation, operate, troubleshoot, test faulty equipment, rectify and maintain requirements of Telecommunication
Services and devices provided to operational areas maintaining a 24X7 availability and delivery of telecommunication
related applications and services across the corporation.

Experience & Skills


The candidate shall be capable to demonstrate and deliver the following:

Technical hands-on knowledge and experience in implementation, operation, troubleshooting and rectification of vast
telecommunications systems.
Advanced technical knowledge and experience in configuration and use of specialized telecommunication test sets and
related applications for verification or troubleshooting of telecommunication systems and end-user devices.

Setting up and calibrating electronics systems by following schematics and diagrams for telecommunications equipment.

Professionalism in tracing multiple stages in equipment electronic boards, check the healthiness and rectify/replace any
faulty component to make it fully operational.

Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components of Telecommunications systems
and devices.

Sourcing, fabricating and requesting replacement of electronics parts for Telecommunications systems.

Conducting service checks and performing routine maintenance to keep Telecommunications electronics functioning
properly.

Maintaining repair logs that provide dates and details of repairs and maintenance performed.

Communicating with operators, engineers and inspectors to understand problems and provide progress updates and
support.

Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Apply technical solutions to resolve operational issues and incidents based on technical recommended procedures in a
timely manner.

Apply assigned technical recommendations and procedures as preventive or corrective measures for a 24X7 sustained
fault-free operation and update of telecommunication systems and infrastructure.

Strong personal computer office applications, verbal and communications skills.

Education
Technical Diploma and 5 years of technical experience in the field of telecommunications/Electronics, preferably related to
Oil and Gas industry.

All technical certificate post-graduation shall be provided to be reviewed during the evaluation process.

A strong Calibration and Electronic workshop rectification experiences are mandatory.
