Position Summary

As a Mobile App Tester, you will be responsible for evaluating the performance, functionality, and user
experience of the Quranic App across various platforms, iOS and Android. The primary goal is to identify
and report any bugs, glitches, or usability issues within the Quranic app, ensuring that it meets the
desired quality standards at every checkpoint.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is highly dependable and capable of meeting deadlines. Our mobile
app tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and user satisfaction of the Quranic
App by thoroughly testing it, reporting any issues, and working closely with the development team to
deliver a polished and reliable app to end users.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

● Stay on top of Slack messages where we communicate new releases for the app
● Test the entire app user flow and features for bugs, issues and crashes in the required time
window (24 hours on weekdays) for a timely release. Some tests are elaborate end-to-end
testing while others are quick smoke tests for small fixes.
● Report bugs on Jira (Issue Tracking Software) to help developers track the bugs and resolve the
issues
● Identify root cause issues
● Continuously revise and update the testing process to make it efficient
 ● Communicate testing reports accurately with screenshots and videos on Jira/Slack
● Communicate the testing statuses consistently
● Add additional value and commentary on mobile app testings

Required Qualifications

● Access to an Android and iOS phone

● Access to Slack
● Understanding of the User experience
● Good communication skills
● Preferred: Experience with Arabic and Arabic fonts / other right to left languages
