As you were not able to attend the Introduction to Young Leaders catch up session, you will need to
complete the following tasks independently in order to progress.

Please read through the attached PPTs and answering the following questions and complete the
tasks:
1. What is a leader?
2. Why do you want to be a KYV Young Leader?
3. Who are some leaders that you know? Make a list.
4. What makes a good leader?
5. What makes a bad leader?
6. Look at the images in Slide 6. Who are these ‘leaders’? Are the good or bad leaders? Why?
7. What are some of the responsibilities you might have as a Young Leader?
8. What might you expect from others in the group?
9. What might others expect from you?
10. As a Young Leader, what would you have on your job description?
11. Look at the statements on Slide 13. List them and state whether it is appropriate to do these
things – Yes, No or Maybe.
12. List what skills, knowledge, qualities and experience you have that make you an ideal Young
Leader.
13. List 3 people you might ask for support as a Young Leader.
