“Meaning of Life”
Since the inception of time, I ask the question, what is the meaning of life?
There’s no wrong or right answer to the question. The desire to decipher this question is
always present in my minds. I incessantly search for the meaning of the things that I do
in my daily life. I need purpose, goals, and reason to do anything and to keep living, or
my life may become meaningless.
My 18 years on this planet have been a bit confusing. There are different
meanings of life to everyone, some enjoy the material things and others believe life
revolves around important things like family and education. Before the topic was
discussed in my Understanding the Self subject, I did not fully understand it, I did not
give so much thought; I did not think that there was really any kind meaning of life, but
after the discussion to us, It had me thinking of all possibilities I could make happen. I
have learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to be defined; life is different
for us all. I also learned that the meaning of life is to find what is true by using my own
experiences. Everything that I do bring meaning. Either the experience is bad or good,
they all mean something to me and hopefully to everyone. Life is a complicated twist of
pain, suffering, laughing, and learning are part on cycle and generate balance in one’s
life. Recently, I learned that without a passion to live, one’s life means nothing and a
waste.
Life has no meaning if you don’t have the urge to wake up the next morning to
see the next day.
