_____________________________ is hereby designated as the “Corresponding Author” and is authorized to
communicate with Publisher and Editor and sign on behalf of all Authors. It is the responsibility of the
Corresponding Author to advise Publisher of full name and contact information for every Author.

On this 08 day of March, 2024, Scrivener Publishing LLC, 100 Cummings Center, Suite 541J, Beverly, MA
01915-6106(“Publisher”) hereby specially orders and commissions Contributor to prepare for Publisher an
original and previously unpublished contribution (text and illustrations, if any) as described above (the
“Contribution”) for inclusion in the collective work identified above intended to be published by Publisher (the
“Work”), upon the following terms:

1. Copyright.

A. Work Made for Hire for Publisher: The Contribution shall be considered a work made for hire for Publisher
under the United States Copyright Act of 1976, as amended, and the copyright in the Contribution, all exclusive
rights comprised therein, and all other right, title and interest in and to the Contribution shall vest initially in and
be owned by Publisher. Publisher acquires no right in underlying material owned by Contributor which is used
by the Contributor in creating the Contribution. Contributor retains the right to create derivative works based
upon either the underlying material or the Contribution, as long as they are not in a book chapter competing with
the Work.
B. Work Made for Hirefor Employer. If Contributor’s, or any Author’s, participation in the preparation of the
Contribution will be deemed by his/her employer to be within the scope of Contributor’s or such Author’s
employment, then both Contributor or such Author and his/her employer must sign this Agreement. In such case,
the employer hereby transfers and assigns to Publisher, during the full term of copyright, all exclusive rights
comprised in the copyright in and to the Contribution, as specified in paragraph C below
C. Transfer of Rights. To the extent, if any, that the Contribution, or any Author’s work included in the
Contribution, does not qualify as a work made for hire for Publisher or the copyright does not, by operation of
law, vest in Publisher, Contributor or such Author hereby transfers and assigns to Publisher for the full term of
copyright, all exclusive rights comprised in the copyright (including the right to assign and transfer such rights),
and all other right, title and interest, now known or hereafter recognized, in and to the Contribution and any
revisions thereof,in all languages and any and all forms, formats, and media (whether or not permanently fixed
in such media) now known or later conceived or developed, and all remedies afforded by law, throughout the
world. As delineated in Section 1.A. above, the assignment does not include an assignment in underlying
material owned by Contributor which is used by the Contributor in creating the Contribution. Contributor
retains the right to create derivative works based upon either the underlying material or the Contribution, as long
as they are not in a book chapter competing with the Work.
D. U.S. Government Work.If the Contributor is an employee of the United States Government and prepared
the Contribution as part of his/her official duties then there is no copyright to assign. However, if the
Contribution is jointly authored and if any of the co-contributors are not Government employees then the
Contribution is not a U.S. Government work.

2. License to Contributor: Publisher grants to Contributor a non-exclusive license to use and reproduce the
Contribution, in whole or in part, after its initial publication in the Work: (a) in any work written solely by
Contributor; and (b) in photocopies to be distributed to students free of charge in conjunction with an Author’s
classroom instruction; to clients or to others related to Contributor’s business; provided that in each instance,
Contributor gives Publisher prior written notice of such use and appropriate attribution to the Work is given.
3. Credit, Use of Name: Contributor will receive credit as the author(s) of the Contribution when published in
the Work; the form and placement of the credit will be determined by Publisher. If there is more than one
Author, their names shall be listed in the order set forth above, unless a different order is designated in writing
and delivered to Publisher together with this Agreement. Contributor grants Publisher, and its licensees and
assigns, the right to use Contributor’s name, likeness, biographical data, and professional credits on, and in
connection with the marketing and promotion of, any edition or version of the Work and derivative works based
thereon.
4. Citation of the Volume: When citing the volume in references or on professional platforms such as Google
Scholar/ResearchGate, please always use “Wiley-Scrivener” as the publisher.
5. Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism: Scrivener Publishing has zero tolerance for any intentional breach of
copyright law. Please run your first draft chapter through similarity software such as Turnitin or iThenticate and
submit the report to the book editor with the chapter manuscript. The benchmark should be a similarity index of
15% or less but each result needs to be examined on an individual basis. A high percentage from one source is a
red flag. Also note that usage of common formulas, equations and general terms are flagged but these should be
discounted. All reported sources from books or journals must be cited and referenced. Reprinting author’s
previous work needs permission as well and must be fully acknowledged.

6. AI Assisted/Generated Text:With AI embedded in many databases, it is very important that authors avoid
using artificial means to formulate text. If a reviewer, volume editor or publisher uncover such material, you
2
will be either asked to revise before acceptance, or you will be rejected. With third-party organizations
conducting post-publication reviewing and posting the results online, it is clear we need to maintain our integrity
at all cost.

7. Permissions: Contributor, at Contributor’s expense, shall obtain all required written permissions, and pay all
permission fees, for use of copyrighted material owned by others included by Contributor in the Contribution.
Contributor is obligated to make sure that all tables, figures, schemes as well as large chunks of text (above 500
words) have the proper permission and shall request permission to use such copyrighted material in all formats
and revised editions of the Contribution and in the Work throughout the world. Contributors can go to
https://www.copyright.com/publishers/rightslink-permissions/ to start their search. As our imprint is “Wiley-
Scrivener”, one should use “Wiley” as the publisher in the form. Contributor shall deliver all permissions to
Editor as directed. The permission needs to be part of the figure caption and displayed as “Reprinted with
permission from [name of copyrightholder]” or “reprinted with permission [ref no.]”. If a required permission is
not timely delivered to Editor, such copyrighted material will be removed from the Contribution.
8. Manuscript: (a) Contributor shall prepare, format, organize and submit to Editor the manuscript of the
Contribution (including appendices, figures, tables, photographs and other illustrations) in compliance with the
instructions and guidelines contained in Publisher’s Author Guidelines, as revised by Publisher from time to
time. A copy of the current Author Guidelines may be downloaded at any time from the “Author Guidelines”
page of Publisher’s Web site at www.scrivenerpublishing.com or, upon request, Publisher will provide a copy to
Contributor. The Author Guidelines, as revised from time to time, are incorporated herein by reference as
though fully set forth.
(b) Contributor shall deliver the draft manuscript of the Contribution to Editor on or before the delivery
date established by Editor. Contributor shall make revisions to the manuscript of the Contribution as requested
by Editor or Publisher.

(c) Contributor shall deliver to Editor the “Final Manuscript Package” for the Contribution (as described
in the Author Guidelines), together with all written permissions,on or before the delivery date established by
Editor, complete and satisfactory to Publisher in content, form, organization, style, and length. Contributor
shall take extra care to cite and list all references accurately and completely. In-text citation must use [ref
no.] and not (name, year).Contributor shall retain one complete copy of the Final Manuscript Package and
permissions, as delivered.
(d) If the Final Manuscript Package is not delivered to Editor by the established date, then Publisher, in
its discretion, may terminate this Agreement by written notice.
(e) If the Final Manuscript Package is not, in Publisher’s judgment, complete and satisfactory in content,
form, organization, style, and length, then Publisher, at its discretion, may terminate this Agreement by written
notice or may request Contributor to make revisions and to deliver a revised Final Manuscript Package by a date
specified by Publisher. If Contributor does not timely deliver a revised Final Manuscript Package, or does not
make the requested revisions, or, notwithstanding such revisions, the revised Final Manuscript Package is not
satisfactory to Publisher, then Publisher may reject the Final Manuscript Package and terminate this Agreement
by written notice.
9.Production:(a) Copyediting. Publisher may copyedit the Contribution for clarity, accuracy, grammar, usage,
and conformity of style and presentation as Publisher deems advisable. (b) Proofs. If Contributor is provided
with “First Proofs” of the Contribution for review, Contributor will promptly read and correct the First Proofs
and return to Publisher or designated project manager by the date required. If Contributor fails to timely return

3
the corrected First Proofs to Publisher, Publisher shall proceed with production and publication of the Work as it
deems appropriate without Contributor’s corrections. The Contributor shall also provide the Publisher with a
subject index for the chapter in an Excel document supplied by the Publisher at First Proof stage.

10. Consideration:In consideration hereof, Publisher (through Wiley) will provide each chapter corresponding
author with access to the E-book.All Authors shall be entitled to purchase print copies of the Work for personal
use only by direct order to Publisher at a discount of 20% from Publisher’s then current U.S. catalog list
price. While this Agreement is in full force and effect, Author (or each Author in the case of multiple authors)
may purchase, for personal use only, copies of other print works published by Publisher at a discount of 20%
from Publisher’s then current U.S. catalog list price, F.O.B. Publisher’s warehouse facility.
11. Warranties: Contributor (jointly and severally in the case of multiple Authors) warrants and represents that
the Contribution will be the original work of Contributor (except for copyrighted material owned by others for
which permission has been obtained) and not previously published; that the Contribution shall not contain
instructions that may cause harm or injury; that all statements in the Contribution asserted as fact will be either
true or based upon generally accepted professional research practices to the best knowledge of the Contributor;
that the Contribution will not violate the rights of any third party and will not give rise to any valid claim of
such violation, including, without limitation, claims of copyright infringement, libel, slander, defamation,
disparagement, infringement of moral rights, trademark infringement, false designation of origin, plagiarism,
violation of privacy, publicity or other proprietary rights; and, that Contributor has the right, power and authority
to enter into this Agreement. Contributor shall indemnify and hold harmless Editor and Publisher, its affiliates,
assigns and licensees, against any losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable
attorneys’ fees and including any amounts paid in settlement, but only if consented thereto in writing by
Contributor) arising from or resulting out of any claim or demand of any kind that constitutes a breach of any of
Contributor’s warranties.
12. Termination: This Agreement must be signed by all the Authors and delivered to Editor as a condition of
publication of the Contribution in the Work. Publisher makes no guarantee that the Contribution will be
published in the Work or that the Work will be published. If Publisher, in its sole judgment, chooses not to
publish the Contribution or terminates this Agreement on a basis herein provided, then Publisher will transfer
and assign all rights in the Contribution to Contributor and thereafter this Agreement shall be of no further force
and effect and neither Publisher or Contributor will have any obligation or liability to the other hereunder or
otherwise with respect to the Contribution.
13. General: No modification of any provision of this Agreement shall be valid or binding unless made in
writing and signed by Contributor and Publisher. This Agreement may be executed in two or more
counterparts, each of which shall be deemed an original, but all of which together shall constitute one and the
same instrument. This Agreement shall be governed, and in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to its subject
matter, and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous agreements, understandings, and representations relating
thereto.
