FINAL PROJECT. 3rd TERM.

OPERATION NATURE
You have to plan an outdoor field trip for a whole journey (hypothetically it
would take place on the last week of June).

The field trip will turn around outdoor physical activities or outdoor sports.

Departure: 8.30.

Arrival: 17.30 aproximately.

Price per student: around 30 €.

Target groups: 3rd, 4th year of ESO. (Goal: you need to achieve 50-60 students
interested in your field trip (remember this is just a scenario, in caseyou want to make
the field trip happen, we should check it with the Head of Studies).

FORMAT OF THE PRESENTATION: POWER POINT OR PREZZI.

Your presentation will have to cover:

INTRODUCTION:

Why have you chosen this area (location) to perform the fieldtrip? When will you carry
out the fieldtrip and why?

TRANSPORT:

Means of transport.
Length of the trip.

Price of the trip.

THE AREA:

Where will the fieldtrip take place in Comunidad de Madrid?.Talk about

local:

- Fauna

- Flora

- History (summary of main important events that happened there or around


there).

- Principal points of cultural, artistic and sporting interest of the area.

Local weather forecast for the day of the trip according to previous year rain and
temperature history.

ACTIVITIES:

Start and end hour of each activity (duration). Description o of

what type of activity you are doing in every hour.

Material needed by the students to take part in the activity.Security

measures.

Difficulty level. And possibility of choosing a difficulty level according to their skills.

Possibility of taking part simultaneously in the activity, or participate rotating groups.


(We have to prioritize the maximum time of practice for every student).

How much does your activity depend on the weather conditions? B PLAN, as an
alternative to the scheduled activities in case of unfavorable weather or
other logistical issues happen on the day of the field trip.

LUNCH AREA

Possibility of bringing packed lunch.

Facilities (picnic area, outdoor restaurant, bars, cafeterias, supermarkets nearby).

If it’s obligatory to have lunch in a specific place: Price and type of menu.

(According to High-school rules it is necessary that 1 teacher accompany every 20


students in a field trip)

WHICH TEACHERS WOULD ACCEPT TO ACCOMPANY YOUR GROUP IN THE


FIELD TRIP.

You have to ask them about it, you cannot make it up.

You have to high light the feasibility of the trip according the previous issues:date of
the trip and participation of a number of teachers high enough to follow school rules.

TOTAL BUDGET

Price per student and variation of the price according to the number ofstudents that
finally go to the field trip. What will be the minimum number of students attending the
field trip you will need in order to offer a right price (remember total budget will be
30 € per student as maximum).

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:

- Presentation (PPT or PREZI):

Expression.

Communicative skills (convey a clear message). Pictures,

videos or links, maps, graphics and links.

The outfit. You should dress according to the context (remember youare
presenting your Project as a Company offering its services).

Technical quality (features of activity: dynamic, innovative idea, safe


(equipment, facilities, paths…)

Viability of your project (a practicable one: according to schedule, price,


technical and physical requirements, with b plan activities in case of
unforeseen issues).
Originality of your project.

How well are activities suited to the ages of students (14-16 years)

- Non-verbal communication:

Eye contact.

Hands use and gestures.

Movement

Organization of the presentation (how and when you take the floor and give
the word to the next speaker: a lineal sequence of speaking turns or every
speaker will take part in different moments of the global speech).

(The non-verbal communication will be assessed only if you can deliver the
presentation).
