2. SUMILLA

This English course belongs to the professional formation area. It is a theoretical and training subject that includes contents of general and maritime English. The purpose of the course
is to make the cadets develop reading and listening comprehension skills, text production and speaking production at intermediate level using general vocabulary and maritime
contexts related to the ship structure, leaving port operations, and process description for export and import.

Grammar: Question forms, verb tenses, present perfect simple, narrative tenses and future with be going to.

3. COMPETENCIAS

At the end of the course the student is going to be able to handle skills for communicative English in order to talk about language importance for relationships, to use narrative tenses in

stories, to discuss about future plans, to describe jobs, and to make decisions about technical problems. Furthermore, the student is going to internalize and apply specific maritime

contents with proper disposition under the standards of a communicative task approach established by the STCW and the study program of ENAMM.

The subject will be developed using methodology in virtual environments. Strategies related to the sequence learning-teaching activities, it will be developed through virtual speeches
